GSM iPhone owners (AT&T, and pretty much everyone else in the world) are currently enjoying the beta version of iCloud running on their iPhones. Verizon users, not so much.
In order to utilize the cloud based iTunes functions iPhone users need to have iOS version 4.3.3. Verizon iPhone users are stuck in a 4.2.8 nightmare. The reasons for Verizon iPhones lagging behind AT&T in iOS updates honestly doesn't make sense. The features implemented in updates 4.3 and beyond don't directly effect the CDMA chipset produced by Qualcom. Evidence enough is the 3G capable Verizon iPad utilizes the same Qualcom chipset and qualified for the 4.3 iOS update.
Unfortunately for Verizon iPhone users neither Apple or Verizon have been vocal on the situation. It seems the companies are content to let their customers languish in frustration. Until then all other iDevice users can enjoy the iCloud beta in all its glory.
