Apple Launches White Macbook Bottom Case Replacement Program
Apple has finally recognized that "under certain circumstances the rubber surface on some MacBooks may separate from the bottom case of the system," and started a formal worldwide replacement program.
The program will replace defective rubber bottom portions of white MacBooks purchased between October 2009, and Apri 2011.
The program gives white MacBook owners three options when getting the bottom of their affected device fixed. Owners can set up an appointment with a Genius at an Apple retail store, visit an authorized service provider, or order a replacement bottom case kit online. All three options are free, and the affected MacBook must be under warranty. Note, the program does not extend the warranty of your white MacBook in any way.
