  • Goodbye Flash, hello h.264.
Well, if you were looking forward to playing Desktop Tower Defense on your brand new $600 iPhone, you'll have to look elsewhere. The device which "lets you see any web page the way it was designed to be seen" is actually letting you see any web page without all those fun Flash games we play, Flash ads, and, well, Flash. Reports are coming out of WWDC that it's official-no Flash support on the iPhone.

I am crying, but still have $600 set aside in my sock drawer for my shiny new iPhone...

    Mac Rumors.

Adobe will find a shockwave acceptable to Apple, to enable flash player objects very soon. Of that I am certain. They will agree on a hybrid.

I would have thought that the Safari browser would have had a Flash/Shockwave plug-in...seems like there might have been some internal processing issue or perhaps a licensing with Macromedia issue at play on that one.
