  • Dev Team 1.1.1 Jailbreak
cash edit: Read our Jailbreaking 1.1.1 on OSX Guide HERE
    Windows Guide HERE

The Dev Team has now announced a 1.1.1 jailbreak method which allows for:
    • Downgrading to 1.0.2 (if necessary)
    • Preparing the iPhone for a jailbroken update
    • Performing a software update, leaving you with a jailbroken v1.1.1
    • Forcing v1.1.1 to mount read-write so you can access it
    • Installing SSH and BSD world
    • Activating with a Non-ATT SIM
    • Patching SpringBoard to allow third-party applications
    • Clean-up
This does NOT allow you to unlock a 1.1.1 iPhone, and WILL NOT WORK ON AN UNLOCKED IPHONE. Again, if you have unlocked your iPhone, DO NOT DO THIS.

    Download here.

try restarting the phone and then running the sshify script again
I restarted my iPhone and tried again, yet I still get the same response.

if you sync... you can do a full restore and when you "restore your settings" (not the phone firmware) you will get all of your stuff back, txts, voicemails, recent calls, everything

did you upload it to the phone via ssh?

are you in the correct folder that springboard is in when you type the "springboard" command?

I know this, but what I mean is that I think this backup of settings is messed up. I just restored my phone and restored it from a new phone and everything worked great then i did it again and restored w/ my previous backup (w/ texts) and maps wouldnt work...how can i edit this backup, or keep my texts and other stuff only...?

i found the problem... the file is "springpatch" not "springboard" but either way the file should be in /usr/bin but i dont think you need to be in that folder to execute it... try to just use springpatch instead and see if that works

windows wont let me unzip and unpackage the "1" file

once springpatch is in the /usr/bin/ folder, press Ctrl + T to open the terminal and type springpatch and hit execute... Just like it says in the GUIDE.
