  • GPS (ish) Comes to the iPhone!
Navizon, which just showed up in Installer, is an assisted GPS system which triangulates your location based on the cell towers you are near. Some have reported success with this, while others have not.

I am on T-Mobile, and it is giving me an error: "Unable to locate any known cell towers". Could it only work with AT&T? Or am I just in a lame place? Your thoughts... Please post your area along with your results.

UPDATE: Works fine on T-Mobile, assuming you're in an area it knows. Not sure yet where it gets it data, as far as where it will know and where it won't. But I went down near the Tampa International Airport, and it definitely knew that area. So it works on T-Mobile!

Yeah, I got a message yesterday too, as soon as I ran the App...

Well...look at it this way...It works in the following places...

      1) I85 through downtown Atlanta
      2) I805 South at "H" Street in Chula Vista,Ca.
      3) In the parking lot of Qualcomm Statium, San Diego

I don't see what you're complaining about...if I were you, I would press the "OK" button when you run the App and let Safari take you to their webpage so that you can purchase the program.

Then move to either Atlanta or San Diego...lol

I wonder if Steve owns the Navizon company?

Why do I get the feeling that NO ONE is doing this?

What an ill-conceived, half-baked, overpriced idea that failed not only in theory but in execution, too. Yikes!

...and I, like everyone else, wanted this product to be what it claimed. Even at $25.
