    Apple announces iPhone Ringtone functionality built into next version of iTunes - to be released tonight 9/5/2007 as well as iPod Touch. iPod Touch is the iPhone without the phone - includes wifi, youtube, safari, MOBILE ITUNES!! and normal ipod functionality. Comes in 8gb (8gb) and 16gb ($399) models. Details can be found Here.

      oh that's some bs, i bought 2 8gigs and 1 4gig iphone and spent all that money and now its that cheap only after a month and a half! BS
      now people that shop at jmart are gonna be walkin around with iphones ;p

      why has everyone become so profane int he past 6 hours, relax guys, the phone was worth the 600 two months ago and its still worth the 600... same thing happened with my ipod photo :-(

      I wonder how many people will actually pay for the song and ring tones????? I understand that this is a copy right issue but still $2 for the damn tone?

      Ok, maybe I just don't get it

      Or, maybe I'm too used to buying technology the minute it hits the shelf regardless of the price and then seeing it repriced 60-90 days later. I just consider the premium I pay the price of having the newest toys immediately. Every phone I've bought, from my ancient StarTac to the iPhone has come out at a premium and then had the prie reduced within a short period of time. Instant gratification is not without it's costs

      As for ringtones costing $2.00... Haven't browsed the AT&T Store or Verizon's Get it Now too often have we? iTunes isn't too far off the mark here. And you're getting the entire song plus the ringtone for that $2.00. Something neither AT&T or Verizon can say.

      Nothing's changed, so why the outrage? This site is proof that there are other, cheaper, even if a bit more complicated, methods of getting your ringtones

      For lowering the price so soon, I agree, now every stupid ***** who had a razr now is going to get an iPhone.

      just got off the phone with one of the drones at apple customer relations after a 15 minute wait....apperently they have been flooded with hate calls about the price drop (reason for the 15 minute wait)....i left a "congratulations on your very bill gatesque move there stevie" "hope you know you've alienated your loyalest fans"
      on the lighter side the drone spill the beans that theres rumors around apple that the bigwigs are already talking about something for the customers who purchased before the price drop... idont know if theres validity in what he said or if he was just blowing smoke up my *** so he wouldnt have to type anymore of my ranting.. either way take this with a grain of salt and dont hold your breath i think us apple geeks got screwed!!!!!!

      I purchased some songs for ringtones on iTunes, grudgingly, and can't see how to turn it into ringtone. I see no icons depicting ringtones. Can anyone help.
