  • NEW iPhoto in iLife 08 allows for "Upload to Web Gallery" from iPhone
iLife 08, just released today, adds a new feature: web galleries.

The iPhone will have an "add to gallery" option, which will post the image into your web gallery. If you have iPhoto open on your computer at home, when you get back it will already be synced!

    Awesome news...

    Pics here...

Is this another update that will ruin our modifications?

Looks like it. Working on scripting mods easily, so you just hit one button, and it loads all your fav mods. See the .ipb standards thread in the skinning forum for some groundwork...

Careful with the new iLife - the specs for it don't include the G4 for the iMovie portion. Now I wonder if that part will even load on my PowerBook.

Anyone get it yet. I'm departing for Hawaii tomorrow and was going to maybe use that vacation as another excuse to make apple richer

      Any reviews yet?

I ordered it online as soon as the store came back up, overnight shipping... that means it should be here tomorrow!

i'm relatively new to the mac scene...but i was thinking that ilife08 would come with leopard...is that correct? i was just planning on waiting to upgrade everything vs buying it now and paying for it again when i jump to leopard...

Doesn't come with Leopard, no. Comes with the new computers if you buy one, but not with Leopard buy itself.

I have a .Mac account, and an iPhone. I can't find a way to enable Gallery in .Mac - it seems like you have to enable it via iLife first, which frankly sucks. Any ideas or am I missing something in plain sight?

You have to have iLife 08.

I wondered, in a previous post, if iMovie would install on my PowerBook - the answer is 'no'. That left me with everything, except that, upgraded from iLife '05 to iLife '08. It turns out though, that owner's of iLife '08 can go to http://support.apple.com and download the iMovie from iLife '06. So, if you preferred that version better, or have a G4-based system that the latest won't install on, you can at least have that.

Can't wait for this.. Perhaps the next iPhone update is sooner then one might think. I really expected the release schedule (or even feature announcements) to be delayed a bit longer.

The one click install idea is a great one, sometimes there are just so many little mods that you can't remember what you did or how you did them .

I have the latest iPhoto '08 7.01 that's with the update. I have a "TRIAL" dot mac account which is for 60 days. I was able to publish pics to my web gallery from iPhoto on my computer. But although I've synced my iPhone several times, I see no option to "send to web gallery". I checked for software updates for itunes & iphone. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I have a MODed phone? or because my dot mac account is trial based? Anyone??? anything??
