    Looks like some lucky guy over at iphoneportugal.com got his/her hands on an 8gb 3G iphone and was kind enough to take a few pics. Not much to it, but hopefully it holds you over for another 3 days









    Also, since I know you guys are going to ask...in the third pic that is a european charger not a US one. Thanks to Coimbra for the pics, and his thread can be found here: iphoneportugal

      Let me first say the back is defintely going to annoy people. We received our demo's in our store & it smudges everywhere! Love the feel & weight of the new iphone 3G. It's about 1-2cm wider than the prior model. I confirmed that with my current 2G iphone. Can't wait to start selling these in a few days

      Sucks that I couldn't get the AppStore to launch since we can't activate them until thurs.

      I'm not up to par with my measurements The new one is slightly wider. It did feel comfortable in my hand. One thing I do wish is it had the nice solid weight feel the current one has.

      That's a relief -- I thought I was going to have to have all my shirt pockets widened!

      As far as the weight is concerned, if the new iPhone is a bit lighter, it wouldn't bother me.

      why does everyone say 2G, its 1st Generation and its on the EDGE network. The new one is the 2nd Gen (2G) and on the 3G network.
      For some reason it annoys me.

      because your "1st Generation" iPhone runs on 2G network?
      and of course the new iPhone runs on 3G network, thats why we call it iPhone 3G.
      Makes any sense?
