Well at least we have a release date. Be nice when he finally releases the SDK, that way some great things can happen for the 2 devices. I hope flash is in the works, copy & paste.

      SDK - Software Developers Kit

basically, it allows software developers to create native applications for the iphone, and distribute them through iTunes (i would assume)

basically a 'legal' jailbreak, using iTunes as a kind of installer.app

I'm wary of the SDK, mainly because i worry that with the primary need to jailbreak gone, my unactivated iphone will be forgotten and i'll have to wait millenia when it comes to updates...time will tell! and not much more judging by this thread

The 6th is not that far away at all. It's only next Thursday.

And it will be alot longer before any "approved" apps are available. They still have to be developed according to APPLE STANARDS and go through the Apple approval process before being allowed on ITunes for sale for profit.

assuming the kit hasnt already been given out to select developers so that apps are available on release?

have to wait to find out i guess!

      hi again
I've been thinking , we've waited ages to have the SDK and now if there is apps we have to pay for them plus the tom & jerry game every once and a while new firmware , bug fix and another lock . I'm about to fed up . Ooh I forgot I'm not in a country that supports iTunes so I guess the SDK is useless for me .

Is this really worth all of the hype that it has gotten?

It's just going to be the same apps but made by apple but now we'll have to pay for them.

      Right??
