  • Unlock OTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 via Installer via ModMyI Repo

This is on the ModMyI.com source in installer. We are a official community source in installer no need to manually add any source.

Mr. George Hotz, guardian of the freedom of the iPhone, granter of hope to the masses, owner of a Nissan 350z, has once again graced us with an unlock solution we were waiting on, as you may have seen.

I've packaged it up for Installer now [UPDATE, NEW INSTRUCTIONS], if you have an OTB 1.1.2/1.1.3, you will need to:
    downgrade to 1.1.1,
    jailbreak,
    install this package,
OkToPrep and updgrade/jailbreak 1.1.2 (just hold down Option (shift in Windows) while pressing upgrade, and point iTunes to the 1.1.2 firmware file)
and then install the DevTeam upgrade to get back to 1.1.3.

You'll wind up with an unlocked 1.1.3 with the 4.6 BL. (thanks, BigBoss, for suggestion).

I will be looking into a native app to run this, so you can run it straight from 1.1.3. I'll let ya know.

DO NOT RUN THIS ON A 3.9 BL iPHONE - it will be bad.

DO NOT RUN THIS FROM 1.1.2 or 1.1.3. There are a few sources that are offering this package to run straight from 1.1.3 - THIS IS NOT GOOD. You can brick your iPhone. When in 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, this NEEDS to be run from Airplane Mode, which you CANNOT DO from Installer. This is why we currently only have this on 1.1.1. I will say again, IF YOU INSTALL A PACKAGE LIKE THIS WHILE IN 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, YOU CAN BRICK YOUR iPHONE.

    Enjoy!

If this is not doing anything, you have to start the whole procedure all over again.

      Dont give up!
ok thank. and yea i had to start all over again....ah boy..

      Hi guys...need helps here.

I had 1.1.2 OTB jailbroken....and IClarified.com steps to do my phone unlock...using Geohot unlock (1.1.2, 1.1.3)...and I also install BSD Subsystem from installer app (system Category).

But when the process shown (starting the unlock) for few mins, my iphone seem like stuck there and later on went to Apple logo....it didn't show a message of "your iphone has now been unlocked".....

Where have I done wrong??? Do I need to install other softwares??

P.S. while the unlock is happening...your wifi will turn on and off...this is normal just ignore and let the process finish
Hi guys need your helps.....I did what you quoted and I let it run for few mins...and seem like the screen hang and it brings me back to apple logo...and later ..it asked me to slide to unlock....I never see the message that pops ups saying unlock complete..............
shat should I do...I did install the BSD SUBSYSTEM FIRST (version 2)

I had the same situation. I just let my iPhone to reboot; then it was not recognizing my carrier, so I reboot it again, and then it worked great, unlocked (I didn't see that last message either).
Now, my question is, what is the difference between both methods: iClarified and iunlock, I mean between doing it directly from 1.1.2 (iClarified), and downgrading to 1.1.1 and then upgrading again to 1.1.2/1.1.3(Unlock.no)?
Could somebody please answer this question? Advantages and disadvantages? Warnings?

I just want to make sure I got this right because some post say unlock and they only mean the app side.
A OTB 1.13 16 GIG iPhone downgraded to 1.1.1 (I guess do a shift restore to the 1.1.1 file, then run the 1.1.2 1.1.3 unlock app, and shift upgrade to 1.1.2, and 1.1.3) and the phone side will also be unlocked as well?

I am on T-Mobile and if this is correct I am planning to purchase a 1.1.3 from Apple.

      Thank you

Well could not live without the 16gig, so I went to store today bought one. Brought it home. 1.1.3OTB with 4.6 and 03.13modem firmware.

Did a downgrade to 1.1.1 2 times, oktoprep, 1.1.2 upgrade and jailbreak then the official 1.1.3-3 dev team soft update and then ran the new unlocker app from iclarified without any issues.

Fully working 16gig 1.1.3 with rogers sim!!!!!

      So sweet

did you start there from a 1.1.2 jailbroken iphone?
or did you start just when you downgraded to 1.1.1

Could you give me a brief overview on the steps you went through?

      Thanks!

When I try and download '1.1.2/1.1.3 OTB Unlock' from Installer it goes through the process and finally says "Main script execution failed!". I've tried to download '1.1.2/1.1.3 OTB Unlock' with the SIM in, SIM out, different Wifi networks, plugged in to the computer, unplugged, etc. The funny thing is, after I've tried to download the OTB Unlock package, the EDGE icon pops up. I have no service, and it won't let me connect to Wifi (I have to end up restarting). Is it working, but just giving me an error message? I've heard reports of this.

Another thing, when I try and download the package from ModMyI.com (contact name), it says "Package download failed: can't find host!"

Any clues? I'm running 1.1.1 and trying to prepare to get to the upgrade to 1.1.2 stage of the new process.
      Thanks!

Currently on OTB 1.1.2 Jailbroken and Unlocked.
Trying to install dev team 1.1.3 upgrade, but it doesnt seem to download (just sits at 0%). I'm assuming their server is under a bit of load so I'll try again in a couple of days.

Anyone else having trouble with the dev team 1.1.3 upgrade?
