  • Unlock OTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 via Installer via ModMyI Repo

This is on the ModMyI.com source in installer. We are a official community source in installer no need to manually add any source.

Mr. George Hotz, guardian of the freedom of the iPhone, granter of hope to the masses, owner of a Nissan 350z, has once again graced us with an unlock solution we were waiting on, as you may have seen.

I've packaged it up for Installer now [UPDATE, NEW INSTRUCTIONS], if you have an OTB 1.1.2/1.1.3, you will need to:
    downgrade to 1.1.1,
    jailbreak,
    install this package,
OkToPrep and updgrade/jailbreak 1.1.2 (just hold down Option (shift in Windows) while pressing upgrade, and point iTunes to the 1.1.2 firmware file)
and then install the DevTeam upgrade to get back to 1.1.3.

You'll wind up with an unlocked 1.1.3 with the 4.6 BL. (thanks, BigBoss, for suggestion).

I will be looking into a native app to run this, so you can run it straight from 1.1.3. I'll let ya know.

DO NOT RUN THIS ON A 3.9 BL iPHONE - it will be bad.

DO NOT RUN THIS FROM 1.1.2 or 1.1.3. There are a few sources that are offering this package to run straight from 1.1.3 - THIS IS NOT GOOD. You can brick your iPhone. When in 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, this NEEDS to be run from Airplane Mode, which you CANNOT DO from Installer. This is why we currently only have this on 1.1.1. I will say again, IF YOU INSTALL A PACKAGE LIKE THIS WHILE IN 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, YOU CAN BRICK YOUR iPHONE.

    Enjoy!

Hey this is the way I did to down grade it connect your phone to the mac or pc after it popsup on iTunes hold the top button and the home button till it shuts off once you see it disappear from iTunes let go of the top button but still hold the home button after a while iTunes will say iPhone in recovery or something like that now if you look at the phone the screen is black now click on recover select the firmware 1.1.1 when it updates it will give you an error15 but this time the phone shows the connect phone to iTunes follow the steps from above but don't do holding buttons to shut off part just the recovery part. Now again you will get the error15 just use ibrike to get out of recovery or independence to get out of recovery now you have 1.1.1 you will get a massage saying invalid sim card this is normal untill you get to1.1.3

okay when you do the DFU mode is your screen completely black but still recognized on itunes?

what i did was hold the sleep button and home button and look at my phone recognized on itunes. as soon as the phone disappeared off the screen let go of the sleep button and continue to hold the home button until the phone is recognized in itunes again. if the connect to itunes logo is on then try again. keep trying until you have a phone with a black screen that is recognized in itunes

After reading all these posts I am still confused. I am currently running a jailbreaked 1.1.2 iPhone with a firmware of 04.02.13_G (Bootloader 4.6). If I want to upgrade to 1.1.3 do I need to upgrade my firmware to 04.03.13_G and if so how? I tried running the 1.1.2-1.1.3 OTB G-Unlock but that said I had to be on 1.1.1. Ultimately what I want to do is upgrade to 1.1.3 and be on the latest firmware, so that I can get the google map locator to work.

This is what I did to jailbreak and unlock my OTB 1.1.2, updated to 1.1.3 via version 7.6 itunes, week 51, 4.6 bootloader, and 4.03.13 baseband 8GB iPhone.
*Please note that tutorial will indicate that you will loose phone functionality if you have the 4.6 bootloader. Don't worry cuz there is a solution*

      I. (For 4.6 BL only) Go to the link below and follow steps 1 and 2. Read the instructions, it tells you everything.

      http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iph...grade_113.html

It tells you how to download to firmware 1.1.1, errors you will encounter, and how to recover from it. Skip steps 3 and 4, that is for iPhones with the 3.9 bootloader only. 4.6 BL will NOT allow you to downgrade your baseband.

II. Next, upgrade to 1.1.2. Follow the following steps.

On a 1.1.1 phone, open Installer and install OktoPrep located in the Tweaks 1.1.1 category.

Download the 1.1.2 firmware file from Apple: iPhone1,1_1.1.2_3B48b_Restore.ipsw (right click link and save target)

Connect your phone to your computer and open iTunes on the "summary" page.

Hold down the SHIFT key (Windows) or Option/ALT-key (Mac) on your keyboard while clicking on the Upgrade button (not the restore button!). A file browsing dialog should appear, and you must select the firmware file you downloaded in the previous step.

While the phone is upgrading, download the 1.1.2 jailbreak archive and extract the files to your computer.

If you don't already have Java on your computer, you need to download and install Java runtime first. If you are unsure, check the jailbreak.jar file in the archive you extracted previously - it should have an icon with a coffee cup

*If you get the error 1015 message putting the phone in recovery mode, just run iBrick Classic, follow the prompts and your good to go.*

When your phone is done upgrading, and shows the Slide for emergency screen, you need to launch the jailbreak java application on your computer. Windows users double click on the windows.bat file, while Mac users can double click on jailbreak.jar file.

An application should appear, with a "Jailbreak" button - click on it and wait while it's jailbreaking. This will take a few minutes, and your phone will restart a few times at the end.

Your phone should now show "Slide to unlock" instead of emergency. If it does, everything was successfull.

III. Upgrading to a Jailbroken 1.1.3 firmware.

This requires that you already have jailbroken 1.1.2 iPhone. Open Installer, and Install Official 1.1.3 Upgrader found in the System category. This will download the entire 165MB firmware over Wi-Fi, patch it, and upgrade your phone automatically. So it may take some time - normally 10-30 minutes. When done your phone should reboot directly to a jailbroken 1.1.3firmware.

IV. The following are added steps if you have no cellular service after the upgrade to a Jailbroken iPhone with 1.1.3 Firmware.

*If you're an AT&T/O2/etc. customer then you've probably noticed that you aren't connected to your cellular network. To fix this, there's just a few more steps left (and you'll need that wireless network again.)

Post-jailbreaking - Restoring your phone service in 1.1.3

Download the following file, and place it on your Desktop:
      Original /usr/libexec/lockdownd file
On your iPhone, go to Installer.app and install the "BSD Subsystem" and "OpenSSH" packages if they are not already installed.
Open up your iPhone settings and join your wireless network. Once you have joined, click the blue arrow next to your network and write down your IP Address.
If you are a Mac OS X user...
On a Mac connected to the same wireless network, open up Terminal and type in the following commands:
      "chmod +x ~/Desktop/lockdownd"
"scp ~/Desktop/lockdownd root@:/usr/libexec" where is the IP Address of your iPhone (minus the curved brackets) that you just wrote down. When it asks for a password, type in "alpine" and press Enter (nothing will appear as your type in the password - this is normal).
Note: If your computer complains about something having to do with a known_hosts file (you'll see "@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @"), run the command "rm ~/.ssh/known_hosts" and try the 'scp' line again.
If you are a Windows user...
You must be on a PC connected to the same wireless network as your iPhone. Download this file and save it to your Desktop (if you haven't already):
PCSP for Windows (by the maker of PuTTY)
      PuTTY for Windows (SSH Client)
Now open a command window by going to your Start menu, clicking Run, and typing in 'cmd'.
      Type the following commands:
      "cd desktop"
"pscp lockdownd root@:/usr/libexec" where is the IP Address of your iPhone (minus the curved brackets) that you just wrote down. When it asks for a password, type in "alpine" and press Enter.
"putty -ssh root@" with same replacement and password as above
      "chmod +x /usr/libexec/lockdownd"

Restart your iPhone by holding down the top Sleep/Wake button and sliding the red slider. When the phone restarts, you should have a 1.1.3 iPhone that is jailbroken and with your cellular service working.

*And many THANKS to the following sources in helping me with my iPhone which I though was unlockable. They also contain links for firmware, tools, applications, etc.*

      http://theidoctor.blogspot.com/2008/...3-iphones.html
      http://guides.macrumors.com/Jailbrea...ating_to_1.1.3

Once in Installer, go to Sources and refresh the page. (Just in case the package list has not yet updated) You will see "GeoHotz' 1.1.2 / 1.1.3 OTB iPhone Unlock". Just install, sit back, and enjoy an unlocked 4.6 B.L iPhone.

****PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, THIS IS NOT FOR 3.9 BOOTLOADER iPHONES! BBiNFO SHOWED 4.03.13 BEFORE I USED THE UNLOCKER. IT NOW SHOWS 4.02.13 AND I DID NOT ENCOUNTER ANY ERROR MESSAGES OR FAILED INSTALLATION. YOU ARE ALSO DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ONE IS HELD RESPONSIBLE EXCEPT THE USER OF THESE GUIDES!****

look at your phone on the itunes screen.
now hold the sleep/wake button and home button down.
release the sleep/wake button AS SOON AS the phone disappears from your computer screen and keep holding the home button.
hold it till itunes recognizes your phone.

if your have the connect to itunes logo keep trying this step over till you get a black screen. its kinda tricky and all about timing but you will get it

No... you do not have to be on a PC. There are a ton of guides for downgrading 1.1.3 from a Mac. I've done so twice using a mac. Try: http://www.google.com/search?q=1.1.3...ient=firefox-a

$39.95??? This thread is a about a FREE unlock. So of course it's not worth it. They are trying to simply rip you off. What makes it worse is they are taking the work done by other, given to the community for free... and then making a profit from it. Bottom feeders...
