  • FREE IT. Software Unlock iPhone 1.1.2 OTB and 1.1.3 OTB! (yes the 4.6 bootloader)
geohotz has discovered the secrets to unlocking 1.1.3 + 1.1.2 out of the box!!! Whats more this doesnt even destroy your seczone!!

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but when has gehotz failed us before?

If any of you are feeling up to it give it a shot. First grab his gunlock.rar MIRROR and his instructions are as follows:

    geohot's 1.1.2 software unlock
yes, this is what you have all been waiting for

    1. Download these:
gunlock and the secpack from http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/ or the blog
the 4.02.13 fls from http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/baseband/ MIRROR

    2. Downgrade your phone to 1.0.2. See all the great tutorials online to do this.
Your baseband won't be downgraded, this is normal.
This will probably work on other versions too, but 1.1.2 doesn't lose wifi on bb access.

    3. Kill CommCenter and run "gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls"

    4. Reload CommCenter. For some reason my phone was in brick mode. Use the elite team bricktool to get out.

    5. Enjoy your 1.1.2 OTB unlocked iPhone

Now who'd have thought it'd be this easy

This release is no thanks to elite/dev
I wish they would share like the old days.
I don't believe everyone in the team is like this, but come on guys.

well... i have some doubts about the SIM unlock solutions available.

could we consider the baseband patch as TOO MUCH invasive for the iPhone? iīm asking this because i completely lost the wi-fi HW from my fisrt iPhone. unlocked by AnySim.
i donīt know if i lost wifi due to the AnySim or due to any other issue.

or... any of the solutions arenīt too dangerous to the iPhone?

Hey guys I was just wondering if this method would work on a 1.1.2 Jailbroken 1.3.13g Baseband and 4.6 bootloader ? I was using Stealth sim and every since i mistakenly upgraded I have not been able to use it since.

If this method does not work can someone link me or PM me a guide to unlock my 1.1.2 OTB running on 1.1.3 baseband

      Please and thank you

Installer Geohots Gunlock Script for 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 Available
Use a better method, all you need is your beloved 1.1.2 OTB or 1.1.3 OTB or any 1.1.2 and any 1.1.3 as well as a good WiFi connection to Install Geohots Gunlock Script. No need to connect to PC or Mac. From Installer, go to Sources, Edit, Add http://sleepers.net/iphonerepo and refresh. Go to Install, choose Recent category, find Geohots Gunlock Script. Install BSD Subsystems and Terminal VT100.

Go to Settings, set Airplane mode.

Go to Terminal VT100 if you already in 1.1.2 or 1.1.3.

      cd /usr/bin
      geounlock

Wait for about 2 minutes, enjoy your 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 unlock.

In case you are in doubt, read More Info before you install Geohots Gunlock Script.

Mine is iPhone 8GB from week 51, running 1.1.2 OTB, jailbroken and using x-SIM in tandem with Xplor SIM card from Indonesia, need only 2 minutes to run Geohots Gunlock Script. Now no more x-SIM to be used. Thanks George and BigBoss that put the script in the repository.

I am now figuring on how to get into 1.1.3....
Yes, 1.1.2 OTB and 1.1.3 OTB are using 4.6 bootloader, not 3.9 bootloader. Geohots Gunlock Script will be applicable to any 1.1.2 OTB and 1.1.3 OTB with 4.6 bootloader. For 1.1.3 OTB, 1.1.2 fls will be used by the script. But you can make and receive phone calls.

I tried doing it the long way and now i tried doign it the sleeper way...

in vt100 when i say cd/bin/usr it says no such file or directory

wheni say geolock it start the process and turns off my airplanemode
and then it stops at stage 2

Used http://sleepers.net/iphonerepo but Geohots Gunlock is not there. I refreshed several times and only Bigboss stuff is coming up and no Geohots.

Did they take it off? can it be found somewhere else?

Lasty... someone posted that you cannot use this with upgraded to 1.1.3 from older 1.1.1. is this true?

      Thanks.

and if you're doing it the sleeper.net way, make sure you have the right file installed from installer. I haven't been able to find the one in BigBoss's repo and I've been refreshing like crazy for the past hour

Thank you sh4508 , is a good guide and very convenient via installer.
At first nothing happen once it finish loading GeoUnlock.

After that, I restore to 1.1.1 --> jailbreaking and upgrade to 1.1.2.
It work perfect after install and run iWorld.

Any idea can I upgrade my 1.1.2 (Geohotz unlocked) to 1.1.3 via Itunes?

Or i gotta use Dev Team official upgrade 1.1.3 via installer?

      pls advise.

I could some explain this to me in layman's terms? Its all too confusing to me and I don;t want to brick my iphone if possible.

Mine is a 1.1.3 OTB phone week 1 of 2008.

I was hoping someone could explain the jailbreaking procedure just like it does for the 1.1.1 on this site (its so easy and helpful) or if someone could do it on video and post it on Youtube....

Thanks in advance for everyones time!! any help would be great!

OK,,,I have a new 16 GB OTB 1.1.3. Just bought it. I followed these instructions above precisely.

      When I entered:

cd /usr/bin (then return) - it took and the prompt dropped waiting for me to enter in another command. I then entered:

geounlock (then return) -it took, but I am now seeing the Termv100 program saying, "socket is busy".

I have chosen to wait and stop and see if anyone can tell me if this is right?

Here are my notes on the Sendowski Method.

It takes me about 10 mins to unlock a 1.1.2 OTB with it and it works perfectly well on all SIM's I have tried here in Australia.

Hardest part is actually typing accurately in VT with no back key (please share if there is a secret to getting a backspace/delete?):

      Requirements:

      - Jailbroken iPhone 1.1.2 / 1.1.3 OTB
      - WLAN Internet connection
      - Installer (AppTapp)

      Guide:

      1. Set Autolock to NEVER

      2. Installer - “System” - “BSD Subsystem”

      3. Installer - Source - “Edit” - “Add” - “Add Source” - "http://www.sendowski.de/iphone” - “ok”

      4. Installer - Install - “sendowski.de Unlock” - “Gunlock - Files only”

      5. Installer - Install - “System” - “Term-vt100″

      6. **IMPORTANT** Set Airplane mode ON!

      7. Start Term-VT

      TYPE:

      cd /usr/bin

      /bin/launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.* apple.CommCenter.plist

      ./gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls

      /bin/launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.* apple.CommCenter.plist

      8. All Finished

      Couple of Notes:

      1. After typing the first unload command above, VT gives no feedback and no longer gives any sound feedback as you type...This is perfectly fine

      2. After doing the ./gunlock step, you will get a message saying "Enjoy your Unlocked Phone" but remember, you still must load the CommCenter again.

      3. After typing each command in VT, just hit Return. The first 2 and the last command give no feedback at all (ie, it just gives the cursor prompt) and that's ok.

      3. DONT FORGET AIRPLANE MODE!

The Geohot unlock only unlocks the SIM you still need to hactivate / jailbreak you can stick with 1.1.2 or use the dev teams soft upgrade to 1.1.3

Dont upgrade to 1.1.3 with iTunes or you will be locked out of your phone & the phone will ask to activate.
I have 2 OTB 1.1.2 iphones. The first one unlocked fine without any trouble. The second one, I am having problem in shutting down the commcenter. After I type '/bin/launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.* apple.CommCenter.plist', it gives a processing symbol and does nothing. Processing symbol as in a small bars going in circle. The phone doesnt respond and I have to shut it down. Tried it 3 times now with same result. After restarting the phone, just to make sure the comm center is not messed, I turned off the Airplane mode and it connects to Wi-Fi and ICCID and all show fine.

Any other method to turn off the comm center? Or anything I need to do differently like Restoring to 1.1.2, then Downgrading to 1.1.1 and bring it back to 1.1.2?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I did this this morning for a few friends of mine (5 to be exact) as soon as I heard the news. They were so excited they each PAID ME to do it. Will be donating some of that cash to geohots. Thanks man, you are awesome.

(Now I can go back to selling unlocked phones on ebay!)

      One last question.

If we are running a 46 wk or less and upgraded to 1.1.2 with a baseband of 3.9 and we upgrade to 1.1.3 using Dev Team can we use the new unlock or is this unlock only for OTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3?

      thanks

Why not trying downgrading your 1.1.3 and jailbreak it?

Try 1.1.2 ( jailbroken) and use Bigboss reposite.
