  • AnySIM 1.1.3 is out - unlock 1.1.3 iPhone's

According to Zibri's blog, AnySIM 1.3 (mirror | MMi Mirror) is now available!

    From his blog:

This is Version 1.3 Of anySIM.
    This version unlocks baseband 4.03_13_g
    It's only for bootblock 3.9 don't use on 4.6
To use it, upgrade the baseband then
put the iPhone in airplane mode and run it !
It works also in JB 113 OS...
This DOES NOT WORK ON OTB 1.1.3 iPhones!

Disclaimer: I have not yet tested this, let us know how it works in the comments!

    thanks ericidle for the tip

    Cash Edit
To find your bootloader version install bbinfo via installer. Run it and it will tell you your bootloader version.

I understand that. But what if my SIM unlock stays, should I still run anySIM to be safe?? Or am I screwed cause I used iPSF back at 1.0.2
From what I am told the ipsf unlock should work even through the new firmware for 1.1.3. howeve you will need to run signal app on each reboot to use it.

and I would not try anysim etc in your situation as IPSF does something to your seczone that would need to be undone .......

Now the phone is jail broken and not unlocked but has 4.03.13 G firmware. any idea what i should do now? Should i update to 112 or run the new anysim for 113. If anyone has a clue let me know thanks.....

      hey guys

I just wanted to say that iclarified has posted a much easier way to upgrade the baseband automatically so that you dont need to run any commands like in the canadoc way.

props to canadoc to introduce the method though Here is the auto way which is much easier :

Ok, there's like a dozen links to iClarified in here.

      This is the info:

These are instructions on how to upgrade the baseband of your 3.9 Bootloader iPhone. Your baseband will be updated to 04.03.13_G. You can then run AnySIM 1.3 to unlock your iPhone!

If you have bootloader 4.6 you cannot do this. Please do not try!!!!

      Step One
First make sure you have the iClarified Source added to Installer. If you haven't done this already you can follow this tutorial:
      http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=636

      Step Two
Press to launch Settings from the Springboard.

      Step Three
Press to select General from the list of Settings.

      Step Four
Press to select Auto-Lock from the General Menu.

      Step Five
Press to select Never from the Auto-Lock Menu.

      Step Six
To return to the Springboard press the Home button. Now press to launch Installer from the Springboard.

      Step Seven
Press to select the Install tab at the bottom of the screen.

      Step Eight
Press to select iClarified from the list of categories.

      Step Nine
Press to select Baseband Updater (04.03.13_G) from the list of Packages.

      Step Ten
Press to select the Install button at the top right of the screen.

      Step Eleven
Press to select the large Install button that appears.

      Step Twelve
You will receive notice that process will take about 10 minutes. Press the large OK button.

THANKS****: A big thanks to Viper who stayed up till God knows when helping me out with this! Oh, and bricked his phone for me lol.

To fix itunes error (1) you have to be on a pc, will not work on mac

i ran into this problem a few weeks ago..what you are going to do is place your iphone in DFU mode.

have itunes open to where you can see your phone recognized
hold the sleep/wake button and the home button.

when you see your phone disappear from itunes IMMEDIATELY release the sleep button and continue to hold the home button until itunes recognizes your phone.

if you did this correctly you WILL NOT have the connect to itunes logo but a blank screen but with your phone still recognized in itunes. if it goes to the connect to itunes logo you need to do it again. from there you can downgrade to 1.1.1 and jailbreak. then from installer install baseband downgrader and then restore back to 1.1.1 again and then go from there

I have the following on my iPhone

      Modem Firmware: 04.02.13_G
      Bootloader Ver: 4.6_M3S2

      Model: iPhone1,1
      Model No: MA712LL/A

The phone is (somehow) unlocked - it came unlocked, as i'm based in SEA and using an Asian Telcom Provider. According to the About page, I'm running version 1.1.2 (3B48b) I would like to upgrade to 1.1.3, or at the very least be able to re-order/customise my phone icon order etc.

What are my options? Sorry for the silly questions, i've had my iPhone for 4 days so far so its all still very new to me. Thanks in Advance!!

      little question here....

Im currently on 1.1.3 jailbroken and unlocked via the offical dev team upgrade method through installer. i would like to be able to use the locate me feature in google maps without having to use navizon because it gives me problems. i need to know is there a way to jailbreak the phone without using the soft update method? (ex: jailbreakme.com or windows.bat like I used in the previous firmwares) i simply want to get rid of that stupid file that no one can find that takes up that extra 185 MB of space.

if there isnt a way to do this without using their jailbreak method, then i guess i will be forced to just ubgrade the baseband, but can someone please let me know if theres a way around it.
      thanks

Anyone else having problems with the iClarified installer version?

When I try it install quits after I press the large "OK" button. It doesn't do anthing just quits back to the home screen and hasn't changed any files.
