    , and
  • iTunes 7.6 + iPhone update 1.1.3 Out!!!

    need i say more?

update - here's what you want to know:
    • Its not jailbroken. You WILL lose all your 3rd party apps if you upgrade.
    • Its not unlocked. With any method. If you're not using your iPhone with AT&T, and you upgrade right now, you will not have a working phone, and may not be able to fix that for a while.
    • If you've already upgraded to 1.1.3, downgrading to 1.1.2 does NOT work. Supposedly, downgrading to 1.0.2 works, so if you still want a jailbroken iPhone, you'll have to go down to 1.0.2, and follow the usual guides to upgrade to 1.1.2 and jailbreak etc.
    • iTunes 7.6 has no ill effects on 1.1.2 and lower iPhones. Yes, you should upgrade iTunes. Unless you have some other non-iPhone related reason to want to stay on 7.5.
    • ReVan Confirms: After downgrading to FW 1.0.2 using iTunes 7.6 on Windows XP/Vista, AppTapp, wInstaller & iBrickr fails to Jailbreak & Activate the iPhone.

As for me, I will wait a week or two to see how the true experts work thru the details of this update and then, use my judgement to decide the future of my iphone experience. 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 ???????????????

I want to use it all but, not at the ultimate price....

Everybody, read, be patient and wait for the experts to work thru it.

By the way, is the 1.1.2 unlock available yet?

Hi for all of you noticing that your custom carrier is surviving the upgrade that is due to backups of the iphone. iTunes backs up your phone so after you upgrade itunes restores your settings to the iphone and that must be one of the files. No magic really!!!

i just updated itunes from the first 7.5 to the latest and now it won`t sync my ringtones i converted. i`m on a 1.0.2 iphone still and they synced with the previous itunes but now it says the ringtones aren`t playable on my iphone or something like that. i converted a song to aac, then renamed it to .m4r and added it to the ringtones section. can some1 tell me if i need to do something different or if it`s because of my firmware? after 1.1.3 is jailbroken i`m gonna update to 1.1.1, 1.1.2, then 1.1.3. thanx

^^^I just finished trying it- the problem is it doesn't downgrade the baseband so the phone will not make calls, even after jailbreaking it.

it clearly states: Downgrade from 1.1.3 -> 1.1.1 (iPod touch only!)
