      I know...I am stuck on 1.0.2. I can't seem to upgrade to 1.1.1. hmmmmmm.

      @soup35:

You can immediatelly update from 1.0.2 to 1.1.2 if you want. Just install installer under 1.0.2 and run OktoPrep before Updating to 1.1.2. Then you can Jailbreak using iDemocracy.

@Spurlock: I always got the error 1015 or 1013... but then I used iBrickr 0.91 to downgrade further down to 1.0.2 where I used anySIM and directly updated to 1.1.2 without going back to 1.1.1.

      Hope this helps

Can you ping your phone from the computer? What are the IPs you are trying to use?

Still you should be able to ping the IP Address from the Computer you are running iDemocracy off...

Just try START/RUN/Ping [IP of Iphone] without the brackets...

If this does not work, there is a hickup inside your network setup.

Thanks I'll try my network set up pinging does not connect to my iphone, strange though because my iphone sees my network and I can browse via the phone but my network will not ping the iPhone..

I'm not too familure with networks but will look at the router settings, maybe even my virus software as that has built in wifi protection

      Much appreciate the help

Well, I do not know that for sure. I guess if you have an AT&T activated Iphone, I would think the following should work:

      On 1.0.2 install OktoPrep
      Upgrade to 1.1.2
      Activate using ITunes
      Jailbreak using iDemocracy

BUT I have not tried that and this is just how I believe it should work...

      Dr.Frankenstein...

that would be real cool if your thought process works. I will try that tonight.

      thanks.

Well it gets stranger, I can ping my iphone successfully from my router when I access its settings in explorer, however I still cannot ping the phone from the start/run command line or access via putty.

I've made sure my iPhone IP is a trusted computer but still no joy, can anyone suggest what to do next?

I've got OpenSSH and BSD subsystem intalled via installer.app and I'm using the correct IP but still get "network error:no route to host"

      Hi everybody,
Can anyone hep me please? i have jailbroken 1.1.2 with iDemocracy 2 but when i run anysim 1.2 the iphone crashes while its trying to copy the firmware. then it reboots but stay in the white apple part, and repeat this process until its battery dies or i enter it in recovery mode...

please help me, i have downgraded my iphone like 5 times trying to correct any error i could have done... but i always end up with the same result... (i changed the baseband, installed BSD subystem, installed Oktoprep)

You cannot use AnySim in 1.1.2, but this is mentioned big time on the AnySIM homepage...

There are plenty of guides explaining that you need to revert back to 1.0.2 after updating to 1.1.2 to run AnySIM.

Then you can run OktoPrep and go straight back to 1.1.2.

      Hi
      I'm ahving a few icks...
I downgraded to 1.0.2 - no probs aprt from no way to free SIM - then downgraded baseband and then back to 1.1.1 but I keep getting "network error" from PuTty.
I have entered the IP address where it should be and the phone is jailbroken.
      Any ideas???

      Chief

      Chief,

what are you actually trying to achieve?

If you want 1.1.2 in the end, you should actually not downgrade the baseband, but actually use anySIM on 1.0.2 and then upgrade back to 1.1.2.

Can you ping the IP Address of the Iphone from you computer?
