  • 1.1.2 unlocked!
The iPhone elite dev team says they've unlocked 1.1.2. Downloads are here on the Google code site. This is unconfirmed and untested as of right now, but if you just can't wait to get your 1.1.2 iPhone unlocked, there you go. Someone ping us in the comments below and let us know if it works for real.

Click here for the anysim 1.1.2 download

pf edit: as of yet the lockdownd issue is NOT resolved, so we do NOT have a SIM unlock for 1.1.2.

Is there a definite and working unlock for a new 1.1.2 running on baseband 04.02.13_G ?? The one mentioned in this post is for an upgrade and not a brand new 1.1.2.

Also, when can we expect the anysim for 1.1.2 please?

I'm not questioning this fact but what are you basing the date on? How sure can we be? :P

mmm.. do we know how long it will take from the release of 1.1.3 to be able to do the unlock?

NO need for 1.1.3 to come out to do the unlock. THE dev team have the IPSW so as soon as they get the secpack is as soon as the unlock arrives.

....and unfortunately that day may never come. Just in case you are waiting for the non-Dev team ( actually I think its a team of maybe three) to get this unlock to you read this from the hackintosh site where someone close to the Dev "team" posted this:

"""BUT the bad news apparrently apple have done a very good job with this update, it is encrypted with 1024bit key, which is not going to be very easy to crack could take a long while. Also even looking at it they dont even know if it will be possible to get the secpack from it, as i said Apple have done a very good job with this one."""

The people making fun of those getting Sim emulators will be smart to begin thinking about saving their allowance money to get one.

I guess most of you have seen this. As many know, the reliability is questioned, but still

      You GUESS???

What are you guessing? That they are having problems or that everything is going to be okay?

There WILL be an unlock, right?

I dont think so. If you are waiting for that to begin using your iPhone you are in for a long wait at best.

Some of the strongest supporters of the so called "Dev" team have already bought sim emulators. What does that tell you?

Ya, and that will be the next thing Apple will target in future updates so that you can't use a SIM emulator with the iPhone. The never ending battle.

I'm still betting on the resourcefulness of the "hackers" out there. Its always just a matter of time... hopefully.
