  • Ziphone2.0 OS X gui + Windows gui = Easy jailbreak unlock and activate iphones
Sorry about that, hrm the last version that we released our "testers" lied and never actually tested it

I am happy to introduce the OS X gui for Ziphone!!!!!!! (working)

we don't claim any credit for the inner workings of this, we have just added a OS X gui wrapper to ZiPhone2.0 by Zibri

This jailbreaks any iphone with 1.1.3 firmware. It will unlock and activate 1.1.3 iphones with the 4.6 bootloader (1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB iphones). Very easy, one-click solution - couldn't be easier!

This works on Apple OS X (Intel + PPC). This is Leopard only right now, we are working on Tiger compatibility.

    Features:

For 4.6 Bootloader (iPhone's that came with 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 out of the box):
    • Unlocks your iPhone
    • Jailbreaks your iPhone
    • Activates your iPhone
    • Repairs your iPhone
For 3.9 Bootloader (iPhone's that came with 1.1.1 or less out of the box):
    • Jailbreaks your iPhone
    • Activates your iPhone

    Download Me (non-member mirror)

Windows users grab a Windows GUI version here --- nonmember mirror here.

thanks Zibri for this jailbreak unlocking activation solution

      Hey guys,

This is my first post but have been reading topics on this forum for all my iPhone needs.

My iPhone was 1.1.1 OTB. I have AT&T as a carrier. Jailbroke it and upgraded to 1.1.2. I updated my iPhone to 1.1.3 using iTunes.

I found a Ziphone version 2.2 on the net for the PC. The site says it takes care of some of the bugs in ziphone 2.0. I found it here.

      http://dl.qj.net/ZiPhone-v2.2-Softwa...5958/catid/332

I ran ziphone 2.2 using only the jailbreak because I didn't need the other stuff in the program. And voila! I now have a jailbroken iPhone running 1.1.3 with the Install.app already there for me.

And I didn't lose any data except for the 3rd party apps. Oh well, just got to download them all again.

How nice! Thought I would share this with you guyz.

      Enjoy!

I've uninstalled & reinstalled Customize a few times, and it still won't work. I can get in and select the changes, but they don't actually change.

Any ideas what I can do?

      Alright.

I'm currently using 1.13, jailbroken with the method from The DevTeam, that appeared after Nate's. I'm having issues transferring a movie to the iPhone, so I want to re-jailbreak with this, so that Nikita isn't broken.

I'm using an Intel Mac running Leopard. All I want to do is jailbreak - no activating, unlocking, etc. There seem to be a good share of problems with ZiPone on the Mac - should I go ahead with this or would it be wise to wait around and see if a more solid version becomes available?

I got my iPhone on July 28th, '07, original firmware.

Perfect. Worked on a phone which I bought in September - still running 1.0.2. Updated to 1.1.3 in iTunes, then phone displayed that it was for emergency only and iTunes told me I had a bad SIM card. Ran Ziphone to jailbreak, activate and unlock - now I have a fully functioning phone and didn't lose any data! Thanks!

This program is so easy to use that it makes me feel bad that I had to learn all about SSHing and entering command lines and altering HEXEDIT bla bla bla in order to unlock my previews iphones. I could have just waited a while and CLICKED ONE BUTTOON!

Seriously though, thanks for this, the moment I saw it I went into apple and ordered a 16gb iphone (lets just hope they dont release a 32gb iphone in a month)

so I will be selling my current 8gb iphone, in case anyone is interested :P this one came with 1.0.2 out of the box.

Yes, but learning all of that is great to do. I learned it all several years ago, and I highly enjoy being able to develop applications and writing code.

Now, as to my jailbreak. I successfully completed in with ZiPhone. I re-jailbroke because I could not transfer a rented move to the phone; due to the fact that Nikita was broken. The phone is now jailbroken again, with the move on it, and the locater feature in Google Maps even works.

However, I do have one problem. The phone is not activated. It was not and has never been unlocked; I ma an AT&T customer. I did not select Activate in ZiPhone because of this.

I have the version of iNdependence that works with 1.13; should I just click Activate in it? Will this return my phone to the AT&T account. Thanks.

If you get stuck at the Apple Logo
      1. Close your Ziphone program by clicking exit or just hit the KILL button.
      2. Take your iPhone out of the dock
      3. Hold power button and Home button until phone goes "black" and release buttons quickly...if you continue to hold them for even a split second longer it will reboot the phone to the Apple logo and will stick there indefinitely...so try again. As soon as you see "black" release the buttons FAST.
      4. Hold down Home button and while holding it down, put it back in dock (still holding the home button...don't let go yet)
      5. While holding down the Home button with your iPhone in the dock again, you will see the Apple logo and about 5 seconds later it will show the restore iTunes logo.
      6. Once you see the restore iTunes logo, let go of the Home button.
      7. Open the ziphoneGUI.exe file (unless it is still open) and put a check mark in the Boot Verbose and click Start
      8. The iPhone will boot and go through a series of scrolling text. That is correct.
      9. It will then come up to activate screen (slide for emergency) and then activate on its own. I did not need to open iTunes, but it did take about 10 seconds to find the AT&T network and give me a signal.
      10. If you had a bunch of icons on your home screen, slide the screens over to the subsequent pages to find Installer at the end.

      *Note
If you see the Apple logo and it is stuck there, Do Not Panic!. Just go back and try it again. The holding of buttons and releasing them is crucial to get the iPhone in restore mode.

It worked flawlessly, to my surprise. Each sequential unlock I've attempted with the fw revisions took at least 15x the average time to complete. Don't know why... But this one went through beautifully.

Had 8GB unlocked 1.0.2, upgraded to unlocked 1.1.1 and then 1.1.2 two weeks ago, and now unlocked 1.1.3.

Phone, YouTube, Mail, LocateMe, all working. Loving it.

I was wondering what ziphone to use. I have an OTB 8 gig 1.1.3. I am an at&t user. If I use the ziphone do I just have to click on jailbreak? That's all I want to do I don't want to unlock it and it is already activated. People have been successful but others aren't and encounter problems. Please me I really want to jailbreak my iPhone. Will be thanked!
Oh yea I did this before on ziphone 2.0 I believe and nothing happened? I clicked on jailbreak and activate. Maybe that's what I dod wrong... Thanks again!

I was able to hack into 1.1.3 FW with Ziphone flawlessly everything working fine, except for when i tried with another phone it had a problem.
I tried to install Converter and it froze the phone. Vibrating everytime it connects to itunes or pc, staying stuck on the apple screen, with the "TIMER CIRCLE" that goes in circles till it reboots you know what i mean...

Also couldnt get any summerboard themes to work... customize same thing it would stay stuck on the spicychicken screen.

Anyone know WHAT THE FLIP!!!! is going on? lol

well for some reason this happend to the phone and i had to go back to 1.1.3 and now im thinking if there's this a bug in the Ziphone.exe or maybe something is going down with installer?

      Can anyone help?
