  • Ziphone2.0 OS X gui + Windows gui = Easy jailbreak unlock and activate iphones
Sorry about that, hrm the last version that we released our "testers" lied and never actually tested it

I am happy to introduce the OS X gui for Ziphone!!!!!!! (working)

we don't claim any credit for the inner workings of this, we have just added a OS X gui wrapper to ZiPhone2.0 by Zibri

This jailbreaks any iphone with 1.1.3 firmware. It will unlock and activate 1.1.3 iphones with the 4.6 bootloader (1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB iphones). Very easy, one-click solution - couldn't be easier!

This works on Apple OS X (Intel + PPC). This is Leopard only right now, we are working on Tiger compatibility.

    Features:

For 4.6 Bootloader (iPhone's that came with 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 out of the box):
    • Unlocks your iPhone
    • Jailbreaks your iPhone
    • Activates your iPhone
    • Repairs your iPhone
For 3.9 Bootloader (iPhone's that came with 1.1.1 or less out of the box):
    • Jailbreaks your iPhone
    • Activates your iPhone

    Download Me (non-member mirror)

Windows users grab a Windows GUI version here --- nonmember mirror here.

thanks Zibri for this jailbreak unlocking activation solution

      Hi!

I have a new Macbook with Leopard OTB and i'm getting the same issue.
I ran Ziphone on a jailbreaked 1.1.2 OTB iphone. After the procedure it says "done!". When i press this done button the program starts over again to do the activate/jail/unlock process.

Now my phone is unlocked, but i don't know why the dialer app crashes when i press any number. Can't dial at all...

The Ziphone windows version instruct to run the app with the phone in restore mode.
Zifone for mac says that just plug in is necessary.

      What is the right thing?
Also, should i run the Ziphone utility with my local carrier SIM or with the AT&T SIM that came with the phone?

      SOLVED!!!!!!!!!
Upgraded my phone to 1.1.3 with iTunes and ran the Ziphone again. I've used the AT&T SIM.
      AMAZING TOOL!

ok.. question i still haven't seen answered for sure...

if i have a 1.0.2 OTB, upgraded / unlocked / JB to 1.1.1...can i simply upgrade to 1.1.3 using iTunes (and do i need to shift+upgrade, or just click upgrade) and then jailbreak / unlock BOTH with ziphone 2.0 (that supports BL 3.9 now)?? thanks for a quick reply!!

This is the SICKEST - EASIEST - ILLEST jailbreak method every!!! Major kudos to all involved with this bad boy. Works crazy-fast on Leopard (running 10.5.2) and original 1.0.2 updated to 1.1.3 full restore. Total downtime: 1 MINUTE - THAT'S NUTS! I love this method

      OK.

I've read through all the pages just to make sure, but the answer maybe just as simple...

      I'm an extreme NOOB...

I'll be using this in Canada. After keeping the AT&T sim in, I check all the boxes right?? Then it'll unlock, and I can just insert my rogers sim and run with it.

Do I need to install this iworld in order for everything to work? Or will it be okay just the way it is, after running the program.

I'm on a mac intel. If that helps, and I've re-installed itunes 7.5

      Thanks.

ok.. here is an update.. i am very impatient so decided to just be the test subject for upgrading... here are my results (since no one else seems to have a definite answer..):

Updating to 1.1.3 from 1.1.1 (or lower)

(for this process i was using iTunes v7.6 on a Windows Vista Home Premium PC... I do believe, however, that this method will work on ANY OS/iTunes as long as they support the iPhone AND you can run the GUI version of Ziphone 2.0 on it!)

      1) I had 1.0.2 OTB that was upgraded to 1.1.1, jailbroken, and unlocked (anysim)
      2) Update to 1.1.3 via iTunes (just click update -- did NOT use the shift+update method, although that may work too?)
      3) Run Ziphone with -J -A -U -V all selected.
**Note: on this AFTER the upgrade to 1.1.3 was completed, I then closed iTunes before running Ziphone. Once i began ziphone, selected the 4 options, and ran the program.. it automatically opened iTunes again and said it detected the iPhone in recovery mode and that the iPhone must be restored. I SIMPLY IGNORED THIS BOX UNTIL ZIPHONE 2.0 HAD FINISHED RUNNING (important!) and once it finished, the iPhone rebooted and that box went away! No restore needed.
      4) Ziphone finished running, the iPhone rebooted, and then I just disconnected and was good to go! Wifi works, bluetooth works, youtube works, google maps (with locator) works -- everything is ready to go! (entire process took about 5 minutes... 3.5 to update to 1.1.3, and 1.5 to run Ziphone)

NOTE: YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY DATA, BUT WILL LOSE ALL PRIOR APPS YOU HAVE INSTALLED WHILE ON FW 1.1.1. THE ONLY NATIVE APP LEFT WILL BE INSTALLER, SO PROCEED FROM THERE!

hope this helps all those with 1.1.1 out there wondering the easiest way to get to the newest FW!

If you check out my post above, my results were definitely not. While I did not do a restore, I can't imagine it would brick it. However, for safety sake... I would advise following my instructions above which involve UPDATING rather than restoring if at all possible.. I personally wrote and tested those and they worked without a single hitch! Anyone else wondering about 1.1.1 issues let me know and I'll be glad to help out the best i can!

      Death Cab....

Good on you for being the test subject. A couple questions:

-which version of itunes were you running
-what platform are you on (PC/MAC)
-did you run ziphone from the command line or from the GUI?
-any issues with WIFI or bluetooth
-Does the locate me function in google maps work?

Thanks for the help. I am running a 1.1.1 OTB jailbroken/unlocked phone

my question is can i restore my iphone via itunes to 1.1.3 > then use Ziphone to jailbreak and activate it > then use anysim1.3 to unlock it?
