  • Beta iPhone 3.0 Jailbreak Released (Non Dev Team)

    Russian hacker Vortex has released a beta version of a 3.0 Jailbreak (supporting firmware 3.0 beta 2 only). It is packaged in the Dev Team's windows Quickpwn software and reportedly works on the iPhone 1st gen, iPhone 3g, and iPod Touch 1st gen. It unfortunately does not install Cydia instead it only installs Icy. However you can install SSH via Icy and then install Cydia manually . On the plus side the download is only 3.2 mb because it is only packaged with Icy. Also to note not all jailbreak apps work with this right now because it is not fully finished. Some work, some don't.

    Be warned this is NOT Dev Team approved. This 3.0 Jailbreak while using the Dev Team's Windows jailbreak software and method is not using files packaged by the Dev Team. If you are worried about the possibility of breaking your phone then we do not recommend using this beta Jailbreak. On the other hand it has been reported to work so if you are feeling adventuresome this may be an option.

    Note: This will not unlock your iPhone 3g. Don't ask.

      guys pls. help me how to downgrade my modem firmware 4.22.01 to 2.30/plssssss

      before my iphone work my firmware is 2.30 when i updated at itunes becomes 4.22 everytime i insert my sim card no service. pls help me how can i fixed my iphone

      lol i am glad i didnt upgrade on those betas i will wait for the dev team after the 3.0 update has officially been released and aint betas no more too many probelms

      You really shouldn't have tried a Beta if you were worried about your phone not working. You can;t downgrade your BB but you could try Beta 3 which has 4.24 to see if that's better.

      The 3.0 firmware does and will not compare to the 2.2.1 firmware simply because of all the bugs. Even when it officially comes out, it will be much worse than 2.2.1 because of all the bugs. I predict that the video feature will be hardly useable, and it will take a while to adapt the new firmware to the new hardware. So, for now, the 3.0 firmware is TERRIBLE!

      3.0 rocks beta 3 is working great. So far way better then 2.2.1 on my phone

      It is still Beta, of course it will have bugs! The point of betas is to make sure the bugs are resolved before the final release. To judge it at this stage is insane!

      I don't think 3.0 will be bad when it comes out, I already think its faster and better than 2.2.1

      all my bugs have been fixed in beta 3 but I sure there are still others in the phone.

      Lest see if someone answer me a least this one... I went into the SpringBoard.Strings found the "AWAY_UNLOCK_LABEL" but i can't find "slide to unlock" SO???? on 3.0 where is it? PLEASE SOMEBODY WITH MORE KNOLEGED!!!! i google, look every where!!! but nothing! others are old or using customize and winterboard... not even iUtilities change it!
