  • Average iPhone user has $80 worth of apps: survey

A survey released by AppsFire indicates that iPhone users have spent an average of $80 on premium apps, Moblie Entertainment reports. The results also showed that 65% of the apps the users had downloaded were free, the average cost of the paid apps was $1.65 (it's stats, guys, the numbers do come out a little weird).

Perhaps the most interesting finding in the survey was that the 1200 users surveyed had a total of 15,000 unique apps on their iPhones, indicating that many of the 65,000 titles on the App Store were going unnoticed.

I can buy an iPod Touch for $300.

I can buy an iPhone for $300, on a 12 month contract at $80/month, at a total cost of $1260.

Plus, all the reviews I have seen on iTunes from iPod Touch owners are clearly from 12 year olds. ie The app Camera Genious- "WHY WONT THIS WORK ON IPOD TOUCH. I WANT REFUND."

My sister bought a 3G 16gb on eBay for ~$300. Even cheaper for the 2G iPhones. Not much more expensive than an iPod Touch.

Early adopters of technology always get the short end of the stick.
That's why I always wait a couple months or a year before buying something.
lowers the price and allows for any upgrades.

No I can't. I'm still 15. The legal working age is 16 (with a lot of restrictions) and a lot of places still won't hire you

Oh you don't even have to worry about that! Get loans for everything college related then worry about them for the following 10-20 years after college!

With good grades/resume and credit, money is never an isssue as long as you can make those LOW MONTHLY PAYMENTS*
