  • Average iPhone user has $80 worth of apps: survey

A survey released by AppsFire indicates that iPhone users have spent an average of $80 on premium apps, Moblie Entertainment reports. The results also showed that 65% of the apps the users had downloaded were free, the average cost of the paid apps was $1.65 (it's stats, guys, the numbers do come out a little weird).

Perhaps the most interesting finding in the survey was that the 1200 users surveyed had a total of 15,000 unique apps on their iPhones, indicating that many of the 65,000 titles on the App Store were going unnoticed.

Im pretty sure its the opposite, and that iPhone owners download more paid apps than iPod touch owners.

Which makes sense, since iPhone owners are usually older and have more money.

^which is weird isn't it considering hte iPhone isn't that much more expensive than the iPod Touches? And iPod Touch users usually have a cell phone too anyway

This is where Apple hates me. Ive owned all 3 iPhones and have never (I swear) spent even $1 on an app.

I got over 150 apps and i dont want to even add up how much i spent but if i were to guess im over 300 easily. especially after tomtom and sling.

although i did manage to obtain tomtom and sling in ''another'' way prior to purchasing since there is no trial versions or refunds. i would have hated to spend 130 dollars and not like the apps but since i was able to try these apps out first in ''another'' way i ended up making the purchase. apple needs to work on their itunes store policies at least a refund within a certain time frame or make lite version of apps available especially for pricey ones.
