  • Apple Allows Update with Nude Pics for NSFW app, "Sold Out" on First Day
Yesterday Apple approved an update to a NSFW app called "Hottest Girls". The update made the app to be first on the store having nude content. Seems that with the 3.0 Parental controls, Apple won't babysit you anymore and leave it to your parents!

The app was given a 17+ rating for Frequent/Intense Sexual Content/Nudity, which it actually does contain . . . Before the app simply used to contain pictures of girls in bikinis but this new update adds topless pictures as well.

As noticed by many, the app was removed from the AppStore just a few hours after the update. First it was suspected that too much hype around the app was killing Apple's tidy reputation, leading to the removal - but according to an update on the developer's site, it has been "sold out". By this he means that their servers were already overloading so they are removing the app from the store for sometime, but it will be back soon with all the content intact.

Those who already have the app will still be able to use our app. To answer the question on everyone's mind: Yes, the topless images will still be there when it is sold again. -ATG dev team
This was bound to happen . . . in no time, the app had reached 60th spot in the US AppStore!

Letting this into the AppStore is a strange move for Apple, who previously had been pretty adamant about not letting objectionable content in - even to the point of initially denying the "Fart" apps. I hope this isn't a precedent for Apple - I don't go into an Apple store and see an entire shelf of adult-only erotic software - why allow it in the AppStore?

P.S. If your kid has an iPhone/ iPod Touch and you're worried about him, enable Parental Controls in Settings --> General --> Restrictions

cash edit: this thread is not an excuse for you to post you favorite porn websites . . . repeatedly. Those actions are, however, a good excuse for staff to ban you from ModMyi.com permanently.

It actually says "version" not "server". I can read it from the screenshot.

Kind of sad that a bunch of still shots of partially nude girls becomes a best seller.

ok, i'll admit, i purchased it. Was curious to see how far Apple would elt this go. But I have a couple questions:

      1. Since they origianlly approved it, let copies fly throught he store then they decide to pull it, shouldn't those who did pay for it get a refund since they were the ones who originally approved it then got a firestorm of controversy then pull it?

      2. For those of us that did purchase it,would this be Apple's first test of their remote deletion process?

Edit guess not since the app wont even load now.

Believe you me, son; they're (edit) most are more than fair in their discretion with infraction-giving to some of us.

Follow the rules of a website that's supposed to be PG-13 and you won't run into trouble.

Anyone going to update the story? Apple pulled the app permanently. Appearantly the dev upload the pics from his server w/o going through Apple.

Nice one confusious, agree with you 100% Recently saw a US TV programme where they 'blurred' out a breast, then the next US programme some one got shot (several times) and as he slid to the floor the blood was every where!!

We Europeans find it really strange how you Americans don't mind guns and violence but get all upset over a little bit of flesh. Strange!
To answer your question topless=nude because the definition of nude is without clothing, bare, a naked person, unclothed.

Everyone needs to calm down and stop being stupid in your posts; obviously you shouldn't post to porn sites on a news site that hasn't been known for porn at any time, and you shouldn't post things like "blame Utah" or anything else against a certian group of people that the staff might be involoved with. I might have family in Utah (not that I know of) and so might some of the staff. I'm glad to see iPWNKilla banned, please people lets keep the site clean and safe for work.

      Its a good laugh.

On the other hand, follow the quite simple rules and you have nothing to worry about. And if you think this site is harsh....we're soft compared to most of your forums.

Exactly my point. But these models are still clothed - just not the top part. If you see a man topless do you say he's nude?

You have strange takes on this in America!

As for infractions, you do have to be very out of order before you get one and people are warned first. I think this site has it fairly well covered.

Tell me those things shouldn't be covered up!
