  • AT&T MMS is On - Boom

3.0. No carrier setting edits. Cody gets a text from AT&T saying:
Picture and video messaging (MMS) is now available for iPhone. Txt, pic, or video msgs you send/receive are included in your msging plan and subject to the limits of your plan. To enable MMS, connect iPhone to your computer and click "Check for Updates" in iTunes, then restart your iPhone.
Send and receive are both working well for him (who else out there - who has never done a carrier settings hack and is on AT&T?).

EDIT: A little more info - his Settings > General > About shows carrier as AT&T 5.0, mine is showing AT&T 4.0. What are you guys seeing?

AT&T had said they'd be launching on Friday... and it looks like they are finally sticking to a deadline.

Working for anybody else? My iTunes still only asks me to update to 3.1, with no carrier update available, and doesn't show the Photo icon for MMS...

I use pdanet for tethering, would I need 6.0 for that to continue to work?

you only need 6.0 if you want to use the default tethering.

I kept getting that too...surprised no one has mentioned this to you Stealth....use:

      "CProgram Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

There was a space between c: and the \ which makes it not work right. lol son of a beach...if you take the space out you get a smiley. lol!

      use:
      "C: \Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

take out that space between the : and the \

He probably didn't mention it because anyone who doesn't know that space doesn't belong there, has NO business dickin around with their iPhone OS!!!

I have MMS working now. Used the vidio Tutorial on page 7 except I used the 6.0 carrier settings posted on the thread earlier. So thank both of you guys.Dont just watch the video from the thread. Click on the video and let it take you to youtube. Dont just listen to the video (really you can mute it). Just copy and paste the stuff under more info on the side.

      3Gs. 3.0 Jailbroken. 6.0 carrier settings.

Thanks stealth. I previously had the 5.1 workin like a charm with both of my 3Gs models on 3.0. Put in the 6.0 and is working so far with both pics and video. Funny thing is that I received the video even though it showed to be hanging up on the transfer phone. Anything else that I may need to change in the phones with the 6.0?

Is it still good practice to limit data usage in tether mode?

I still limit my data usage when tethering. Just checked my online statement and it shows up as normal data usage.

I have a friend 3G with 3.1 who wanted mms while she was over at my house so I put the 5.5 ipcc on hers. No biggie because that's how it's supposed be(Legit). LOL I have a Jailbroken 3gs on 3.0 with the 5.1 ipcc and still have tethering and mms. My wifes and daughters phones are 3g phones both jailbroken with 3.0 and the 5.1 ipcc. All of the phones I have done the file carrier update to whether it be 5.0, 5.1, 5.5, and StealthBravos 6.0 have all worked. My question is: Does AT&T know what ipcc file your using??? Can they do anything as far as your bill?? Do they know if you're tethering???? That's what I would like to know. Lord knows nobody wants to get a 1000.00 phone bill and AT&T tell you it's because you're using a hacked ipcc file. Anyone have any input.
