  • Apple Displays Approaching Product Update?

You can no longer get a new 20" Apple Display. Distributors have been informed that "With immediate effect, the following products are 'End of Life' (EOL); Apple 20" Cinema Display ... All backlog will be cancelled and there is no automatic order conversion." Also the page in store.apple.com that used to hold the 20" display is now just a redirect.

When Apple stops manufacturing a product it typically means that they have replacements coming very soon. Apple discontinuing one display might not be a sign of new products because they still are offering a 24" and 30" model. But what if the 30" was being discontinued as well? The same distributer which tipped off AppleInsider about the 20" display says that they are completely out of stock of 30" units and have been unable to fulfill orders for some time.

It is unreasonable to expect that Apple would just offer one 24" display (although it is a very nice display). If 30" Apple display stock continues to be dry expect new products around the corner.

I bet they will just mimic the 24 inch into all their new models.

WOW... so with all this Aluminum that they're using these days are Apple items totally recyclable? I'm just curious!
