  • Apple Announcement and More Leaked Photos!

Apple just sent out an invite to a media event being held October 14th, at 10 AM PST at their headquarters in Cupertino…The only words on the invite, “The spotlight turns to notebooks.” Vague words, but most definitely indicative of some new and exciting change for MacBooks!

Recently, new photos have leaked that supposedly show possible new brick casing. According to experts familiar with up and coming MacBook designs, an earlier photo of what has been labeled as a MacBook Pro with casing carved out of a single block of Aluminum using a new and revolutionary manufacturing process, does not whatsoever indicate brick casing.

However, three new photos released by Apple.Pro show clearer shots of what may be brick casing. These photos have not yet been authenticated by experts, but they do provide a clearer picture of what looks like may be a MacBook carved out of a single piece of aluminum. But really, who knows? Here are the new photos:

Regardless if these leaked photos show whether or not Apple is going to release MacBook Pros with revolutionary brick casing, experts say the photos that have so far been authenticated suggest that the new MacBook Pros will incorporate elements already in use in the MacBook Air, such as the nicer keyboard that contains individual key containers carved out of an Aluminum sheet. However, this is not new as it has been in use with the manufacturing of MacBook Airs and the 13 inch Plastic MacBooks for a quite some time now.

I do not know what it is Apple has in store, of course I am hoping for some sort of awesome revolutionary brick casing, but don’t have my hopes held too high. I am expecting more MacBook Air components intertwined into the new MacBooks though…either way I will be buying one of these new MacBook Pros as I have been holding out for October 14th for quite sometime, and will be finally getting rid of my incredibly archaic iBook G4! So I am excited no matter what Apple reveals.

If it's to the laptop, then um..yes. The 1330 XPS far out does a macbook, the equivalent Mac.

The XPS one may not really out do an iMac but with it's Blu-Ray capabilities, it has more things that I'm looking for as of now...
And if one of those things you're looking for is an operating system that will undoubtedly let you down time after time. As well as get slower and slower as time goes on. Then download patch after patch for Vista, which then conflicts with previously installed software.....You will NOT be disappointed.

Yeah.... three cheers for PC's. Just thinking about owning another one of those horrid machines makes my left testicle hurt.

Great that apple is coming out with new macbooks and such, but there is no real need to be overly obsessed... Hell, I just bought my macbook right now cause i want that last piece of vintage that apple has remaining (vintage white macbook). Aluminum is great and all, but I'd prefer the white to stay... Looks cleaner, can't notice scratches, can't notice smudges, and no messy dents. Im hoping for apple to lower the price on the mac pro (not the macbook pro), dreaming of running a quad core 3.2ghz

I've been using Mac since around 10 years ago, since I started to learn graphic design. Then i owned a Mac G4 when it first release, which by that time costed me near 4k-5k. Used it for many years, still find out PC is more suitable for me because of the compatibility of 3rd party software.

I also been using Mac in school, work. With Adobe doing exceptional work on PC platform on CS2 and CS3 series, it gave me less reason to use my Mac anymore.

So yes, I know Mac, I've got one, i work with one (or 2). But still, I want to see how the Macbook is so superior.

Also, a question to people saying Mac quad core speed is fast and whatever. What do you do with them? You don't play games on Mac, games and 3D graphics rely on Video card and CPU. So get a fast Mac to surf the web and check e-mail? Or it's just a concept that, Yes there are speed limit on the highway, but I just want a 500Hp Ferrari just to look good?
