read over at the dell min forums that people were upgrading successfully using the combo updater. One person did fine with software update. just needed to rerun dell efi.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Does anyone know if it's ok to upgrade iTunes to the latest 8.2.1? I've searched but cant find a straight and confirmed answer. Thanks.

I have heard reports of plenty of people using it with no issue. I am still on 8.2 myself with the theory that 8.2.1 could affect future firmware jailbreaks so I am still staying away. Just MHO

Ok, thanks. I've stayed on 8.2 just to be on the safe side. Was just wondering if it was safe to upgrade yet. Thanks again.

Mac's might be a little pricey, but they are definitely worth it .
Recently bought a MacBook Pro, and it is by far the quickest and easiest laptop to use compared to my old Toshiba.

Updated my MacBook via "Software Update" and it took exactly 20 minutes from clicking "Install" to being usable again (I did already have Safari 4.0.2 though).

Interestingly my free space increased from 14.81Gb to 14.99. After running Monolingual this improved slightly to 15.07.

      I'm happy.

I downloaded for the Apple website and applied the update manually. Took 5 minutes start to finish on my macbook.
