  • 'SafariBeBetter' Allows You to Fix Some of the Common Annoyances With Mobile Safari

While Mobile Safari is a great mobile Web browser that continues to mature with each major iOS update, there are some things about it that can be considered annoyances when browsing the Web, and that's why iOS developer VladMax Soft just released a new free jailbreak tweak called SafariBeBetter.

With SafariBeBetter, you will be able to put an end to three of some of the annoying features Apple has built into the mobile Web browser. Among these are how the URL bar never shows the full URL of the Web site you're looking at and shows the Web site name instead, how the URL bar and navigation bar seemingly disappear from view when scrolling through Web content, and how bookmarks show in landscape mode whenever bookmarks are selected.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can toggle each and every one of the features on or off on demand:

If you're completely happy with the way Mobile Safari handles things, then this tweak might not be necessary for you. Personally, I find the feature that shows the full URL and the feature that keeps the URL bar and navigation bar in view very useful and would recommend it to a friend.

SafariBeBetter is available free of cost in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now and works with iOS 9 devices.
