Apple : iPhone 4 Delivery Will Occur June 23rd... For Some

If you were among the lucky individuals to successfully place your preorder with Apple for the new iPhone 4 on June 15th, you may receive your much-anticipated delivery one day early. But, chances are, if you're among the lucky folks who will get their iPhone on Wednesday... you already know about it.

It seems Apple has begun emailing some iPhone 4 buyers with a notice that their delivery will take place on Wednesday, June 23rd - tomorrow. Shortly after midnight, Apple started sending this email to more than a few folks who preordered their iPhone 4:

Dear Apple Store Customer,

You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.

This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.

In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at Apple Order Status.

What exactly did you tell them? Mine says the same thing and still says the 24th. Customer rep told me the same thing it says on the fedex website.

I'm so jealous of everyone getting theirs today, I ordered mine on 6/15 and havent even gotten the tracking info and checked my bank account today and from yesterday to today the charge for the phone disappeared and i have no idea if mine shipped.

What exactly did you tell them? Mine says the same thing and still says the 24th. Customer rep told me the same thing it says on the fedex website.

I just asked the rep I spoke to is if there was more updated info that he look at that was different from web site and he put me on hold.

I've been seeing UPS trucks in my neighborhood in Orlando. Hopefully you get it soon.

Just spoke with our Fedex guy that delivers here daily. He said that Apple wanted all 600k delivered today and they had to turn down 300k of them which is why UPS got those.

Good news for all of you, should be getting them today unless there's some sort of unfortunate delay.

Lol fedEx people are starting to become rude or maybe the one I got on the phone lol. But she told me mine hasn't even been shipped yet but it shows up on fedEx tracking. I just don't know and give up.

I agree. Called yesterday cause AT&T shows mine shipped 6/17, but never showed up on the fedex site. When they couldn't find it on the main site, they checked their internal on this and said it was due for delivery today.

Called again this morning and they were a lot more irritable. My order just barely showed up on the main website with a delivery date of tomorrow. I think they are getting sick of the calls, and most of them just look on the main website to try to teach you a lesson.

Would suck not getting it today, but as long as it comes by tomorrow I guess I can't complain.
