  • TaiG Releases Jailbreak for iOS 8.3

iOS 8.4 might be just on the horizon, but that hasn't stopped TaiG from making a move on jailbreaking. Folks, this is the moment we've been waiting for for so long.

Now available for Windows machines is a jailbreak tool that can jailbreak iOS 8.3. This is the first jailbreak tool that has been released to the public that can jailbreak a firmware later than iOS 8.1.2, and this means that it's the first time anyone can have both a jailbreak and the Apple Watch working via their iPhones simultaneously.

The latest version of TaiG can jailbreak iOS 8.1.3, iOS 8.2, and iOS 8.3 and is available to download for free at this link.

Please keep in mind that most of your jailbreak tweaks have not yet been updated to work with iOS 8.3 just yet. There may be a window of wait as tweaks are updated so that you can use them.

Stay tuned for guides as we work on them!

Is iOS 9 beta 1 downgrade to iOS 8.3 possible via iCloud backup?

Damn! Hope it will work great on iOS 8.4! It's nice to have it even if you will never use it :-)))

You can downgrade using your PC/Mac if you have ipsw file for 8.3 otherwise iTunes will just direct you to iOS 9b1.

Take your time tho folks. Saurik still has to update Substrate for it to work, (due to the TaiG team not informing him until they'd already released it). DO NOT expect things from Cydia to go smoothly this first go round. Wait until things are updated appropriately.

Thanks! I really hope Apple put touch locks on the security of Touch ID, it would be scary if someone found a way to sneak in an exploit that could compromise many credit cards / personal information. Just a friendly thought to everyone.

The moment I have been waiting for. Luckily I get off at 1:30pm but I have to run an errand. I might just keep iOS 9 beta 1 until Saurik update mobile substrate.

Hopefully whatever exploits they used were already patched in 8.4 and this didn't burn potential jailbreaks for 8.4 / 9. Seems silly to release for 8.3 when 8.4 is imminent, unless they know that 8.4 was already patched against the bugs they're using.

I'm still on 7.1.1 as I never liked IOS8 but some apps are not working properly so I was waiting for the latest IOS to be jailbroken. Looks like its time to upgrade unless anyone knows of a good reason to stay on IOS 7.1.1?

Agreed. I'd like to have confirmation. I'd be willing to wait until 8.4 is released.
