ultrasn0w Update Brings Improved Battery Life

Amongst the chaos of 4.0.2 being released, the dev team tweeted earlier today about an update to ultrasn0w which has been tweaked to help improve the battery life during standby on unlocked iPhones.

So if your not already franticly backing up your SHSH blobs, head on over to Cydia and look for the update there. The recent iOS 4.0.2 does not have an updated baseband, but as usual ultrasn0w needs a JB, so stay away from 4.0.2 if you enjoy your unlocked iPhone.

On another note, Did you back up your SHSH Blobs?

Every time I see what apple is doing to stop jailbreakers just makes me laugh harder, can't they tell that jailbreaking utilities are expanding more than apple and the universe? They'll never be able to patch jailbreaking. EVER.

I tried the update after a fresh restore this morning and my iPhoen4 just hanged at the apple logo. When I went to do another restore, LUCKILY I noticed the update was 4.0.2!!!! That was a close one. Restoring now, hope I dont have the same problem!!!

Apple patched this not only because of jailbreak, but because its a hughe security hole in safari that anyone can exploit to steal info and many many more bad things...

so i was jb/unlocked with 4.0.1 with the old version of untrasn0w, can i just update this and it wont change anything? or do i have to do something else like fresh restore? (except for improved battery, yada yada)

Yeah mate just open up Cydia go to changes and it'll be there and click "upgrade" in the top right corner and there ya go
