If you love music, then you might like a new music controller tweak called Clex by iOS developer Gabriele Filipponi. This tweak is a new way to view information about the song that's playing and control it, from anywhere.
With this tweak installed, you can swipe in from the right of the display to view the album art of the music currently playing and then skip a song forward, move a song back, play, or pause the music. You can also swipe in from the left of the display to view a list of all your installed music in your music library and choose to play it. If you swipe in from the left of the display with two fingers, both interfaces will open at once, as shown above.
Clex is fully customizable. You'll find a preferences pane in the Settings application where you can start getting your hands dirty with the appearance and functionality:
From the main preferences pane, you'll find yourself with a preference cell entitled "Configuration." From here, you can configure the tweak's restriction (where you are and aren't allowed to open Clex), and the style, where you can configure blur, tint color, font color, and choose a background image.
You can restrict the tweak to not opening in any of the following places:
- Inside of applications
- On the Lock Screen
- On the Home Screen
When you start venturing into the Style, you'll get the following options:
The blur effects you have to choose from include:
- Adaptive light
- Ultra light
- Low light
- Low dark
- Ultra dark
- Passcode paddle
- Semi light
- Flat semi light
- Ultra colored
- Light keyboard
The tint and font colors you have to choose from include the following:
And lastly, you'll be able to choose a background image for both portrait and landscape mode. You can enable or disable this feature on demand, and you'll be directed to your Camera Roll to pick an image.
Clex is only compatible with the Music application by Apple and doesn't appear to have any compatibility with any third-party music applications like Rdio or Spotify.
If you want to get started with Clex, it's available right now in Cydia's Bigboss repository for $1.99 iOS 7.1.x is required for the installation.
