  • Facebook Updates its New Slingshot App With Ability to Send Locked or Unlocked Slings

On Thursday, Facebook issued an update to its popular new Slingshot application, bringing it up to version 1.3. Slingshot is much like Snapchat in may ways, but with its own twist to it.

Facebook's Slingshot application now allows you to choose whether the slings that you send to people will be locked or unlocked when they receive it. What this means is that if you pick to have it locked, they will have to sling a shot in order to see your shot. If you pick to have it unlocked, the person you send the sling to will not have to sling a shot in order to see your shot.

In addition, Facebook has fixed some bugs in the application, making version 1.3 the most stable and reliable update to Slingshot to date.

Existing users of Facebook's Slingshot application will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Facebook's Slingshot application for free from this App Store link.
