  • 'MSGSplus' Adds New Features to Your Messages App in iOS 7

iOS 7's Messages application is a pretty dead-simple text messaging application. You basically just open it, find a contact, and send a message. It seems so easy that we never think twice about the features the application offers.

A new free jailbreak tweak called MSGSplus by iOS developer Alltim3h4ckers will make you think twice about those features. It enhances the stock Messages application in iOS by giving you more customization options and control over the features.

MSGSplus adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure each of its options on demand:

You can do things such as:

    • Automatically load text message history
    • Disable the typing alert for people you're texting so they don't know you're typing
    • Disable the search bar
    • Disable rotation so the application always stays in portrait mode
    • Disable the separators in the application
    • Enable or disable a black keyboard
    • Enable or disable a blue keyboard
    • Enable or disable large attachments for iMessages and SMS

Changes that you make here take effect immediately without the need to respring your device. You may, however, want to close and re-open the Messages application after you make changes here.

If you want to give MSGSplus a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. iOS 7 is required for the installation.

"send large attachments" does that mean there is no length limit for videos? And will they still send as iMessage or convert to ****** texts?
