If you have a slower device that needs some speed tweaking, or a fast device that you just want to make feel even faster, then check out a new jailbreak tweak called SpeedMaster
by iOS developer MoonWolf.
This tweak lets you speed up the internal animations of applications on your device. It doesn't work with all applications, but it'll work with most of them and even some game engines will be affected, such as those using cocos2d, cocos2d-x, or SprintKit, etc.
Using SpeedMaster is very simple. It adds an application icon to your Home Screen where you can enable or disable the tweak for individual applications. In our case, we have enabled it for the ModMyi application, as shown above.
Now, when we open the ModMyi application, a small gear button appears. We can tap on that gear button in order to display the speed settings for the application at the bottom of the application. The default is 1.00, but we can increase or decrease the speed setting with the plus and minus buttons to anything we want in order to get the speed we want. Changes are immediate without the need to respring or even close the application.
Please note that this tweak doesn't actually make the application any faster, or boost your device's speed. All it's doing is modifying the animations to make it look zippier.
If you want to give SpeedMaster a try, it's available for $1.99 in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 is required to install SpeedMaster.
