  • Japanese Consumers Clamoring for iPhone 6

According to new reports out of Asia this week, Japanese consumers are buoyantly enthusiastic about the pending release of Apple's next-gen iPhone.

Expected to launch later this month in Japan, the large-screen iPhone 6 caters to the changing tastes of the Japanese consumer base. With phablets an increasingly hotter commodity across Asia, iPhone 6 may see a sales surge that puts iPhone 5s sales to shame in the mobile-tech savvy Japanese market.

A recent survey from MMD finds that 35.7% of consumers probed plan to buy a new iPhone 6. Even more will take the plunge if the eagerly awaited iPhone 6 delivers a model featuring the rumored extra large screen size.

Although the survey didn't delve into consumer interest pertaining to iWatch, Japan is a fast-emerging market for wearables and is expected to drive iWatch adoption across Asia when the inaugural Apple smartwatch is finally released.

There are going to be a huge number of unhappy Japanese if the 5.5" version isn't available at the same time as the tiny 4.7" version

My sister is stationed in Korea right now, and she was telling me that they just LOVE huge phones... Most of them seem to be running around with Samsung notes...
I will be getting the 4.7 in all likelihood.
