  • Rovio Teases October 15th Release for Angry Birds Transformers in New YouTube Video

In June of this year, Angry Birds creator Rovio announced another addition to its family called Angry Birds Transformers. The game would put an Angry Birds spin on the popular Transformers series similarly to how Angry Birds Star Wars puts an Angry Birds spin on the Star Wars series.

While Rovio's CEO may be stepping down next year from the company following the recent plummets in the company's revenue, that hasn't stopped the company from following through with its promise to deliver Angry Birds Transformers to the public. A new teaser video made its way to YouTube from Rovio themselves recently, which teases the new game:

The teaser video not only gets the included Transformers theme song stuck in your head after only moments of watching it, but it also provides important information about the release of the game. Rovio is pinning the release of Angry Birds Transformers on October 15th this year.

We will continue to keep you updated on this release, so if you're interested in downloading it when it's out, stay tuned!

Does anyone else think that the birds are the obvious villains here? I mean, the pigs were just hungry and they took three eggs, but they've been chased for several thousand levels through alternate universes and time periods as had all their cities and towns destroyed. I mean, overkill much?
