  • iOS 4.0.1 and iPad 3.2.1 Now Live - DO NOT UPDATE

iOS 4.0.1 and iPad 3.2.1 have just been released! For your own good, DO NOT UPDATE!!! if you require jailbreak or unlock!

It looks like reports are coming in that this is actually the 4.1 Beta we saw last night... not sure why it would roll out so quick, but I'm not buying it just yet. The baseband isn't even updated, so it can't be entirely 4.1b.

    BACKUP YOUR SHSH BLOBS!!!!!!!!

Comex has confirmed there is NO baseband update in 4.0.1. You can update if you wish, but really there is no point unless you have an iPhone 4 and want these new "bigger bars". Either way, just don't do it.

Planetbeing also recommends staying away, but if you missed your SHSH blob backup, you can do so on 4.0.1, as there is no baseband update.

There were only a few people who said they were able to get theirs signed. For most people at that time, Apple was not signing.

But please do share your vast wealth of info with this community because I seem to be a moron.

Was in the process of backing up my shsh blobs ,when my isp, comcast, reports a service outage in my area, no internet. I am hoping I will still be ok for j/b.

Let's just hope Apple doesnt announce the signing of GeoCold tomorrow.

Emoji is completely missing for me. Only Romanji and Ten Key show up for Japanese keyboards. I also can't find out why the custom dictionary is gone either. Do you have an idea why emoji might be missing?

They didn't say it would solve the death grip it just adjusted the bars so that you will get a better signal strength idea. They where using a bad range of measurment all along.

4.0.1 wasn't released to fix that problem. I don't see how that's a fail on Apples part if that wasn't the reason forthe release. You=fail.

Weird, it shows fine on mine. Did you enable it in cydia or AppStore?

I have a stock 4.0.1 iPhone 4 so I don't have Cydia. I was looking under Settings>Keyboard>International Keyboards and it doesn't show up. Is there and emoji app in the AppStore that enables this?
