  • Flappy Bird Creator Releases First Update for Swing Copters Game Since Release

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen released a new Indie game in the iOS App Store last Thursday called Swing Copters with an all-new difficult game play forcing players to try and fly up through platforms with swinging hammers.

The game has certainly gained the reputation for being very difficult in fact, many people like to call it almost "impossible." It is definitely much harder to play than the Flappy Bird predecessor that Nguyen pulled from the App Store just months ago.

On Monday, the developer released the first update for the game since the initial release on Thursday. The updated version that's now available is version 1.1.

Monday's update gives the game some game play tuning that aims to help make the game more playable and less difficult. A bug has also been fixed with ads displayed in the game.

If you're an existing player, this game update is available under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Swing Copters for free from this App Store link.

It still didn't fix my biggest problem! The kill boxes are the wrong shape/size for the hammers. When at the peak of the swing, the size of the hammer kill box is the size of the widest points in all four directions as opposed to simply the shape of the rectangle. This keeps killing me even if I haven't hit anything.
