'InstaRealDate' Shows More Detailed Timestamps for Media in Your Instagram Feed
If you're an Instagram user and you ever pay attention to the times associated with the pictures and videos in your Instagram feed, then you'll notice that the application lets you know how long ago the media was published.
Unfortunately, letting you know how long ago the media was published still leaves you with some guesswork for what the actual publish time was – you're going to have to do some math. A new free jailbreak tweak called InstaRealDate
by iOS developer ryebread761 fixes that and makes telling the publish time easier by allowing you to see a full publish date and time for any media in your Instagram feed, as shown above.
As you can see, rather than the media saying that the image was published 11 hours ago, it shows that the media was published at a specific date and time – in this case, it was August 7th of 2014 at 12:19 A.M.
It's worth noting that your times will still appear as normal in the Instagram application and you'll have to tap on the times to show the full publish date and time. A simple tap, however, is no big deal and will come off as easy to operate for anyone interested in this feature.
If you want to give InstaRealDate a try for your Instagram needs, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 and the Instagram application are necessary for taking full advantage of this tweak. Instagram is a free download from the App Store at this link
