  • Stuart Hughes Unveils "Affordable" Diamond Coated iPhone 4

Last year, we couldn't resist covering the release of the 3.2 million diamond-encrusted iPhone 3GS Supreme. Designer Stuart Hughes of Liverpool, England is the mastermind of the bejeweled iPhones and the promoter-in-chief of these iDevices fit for kings and queens. As you might imagine, however, there weren't a lot of interested buyers willing to cough up three million for a smartphone. So what has Hughes done with the new iPhone 4? Well, he's made a diamond-encrusted 4th generation iPhone that is "more affordable" than his last offering.

Meet the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition. Adorned with diamonds, the device will only cost you roughly twenty grand. In other words, you might as well get two. So what do you get for this "amazing deal," you ask? Well, the surrounding frame, for starters, is encrusted with circa 6.5cts of top quality VVS , color 'F' diamonds, individually set sparkling gems. The rear section - perhaps the most important part of this thing - houses "beautiful solid Platinum and Diamond Apple logo."

To sweeten the deal, the white, unlocked iPhone 4 comes with a leather wallet that, according to Hughes, is fashioned from a “real Ostrich foot.” Wow, this keeps getting better by the minute, doesn't it? Of course, if you want one, you better act fast. Hughes is only making available fifty of them. The 32GB white model of the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition is already on sale, with plenty of time remaining before the holiday shopping season arrives.

i cant imagine being robbed because of that.

Well, is dumb to get an iphone with same function but your only buying the stones on the phone. You probably can do it yourself with some swarvoski stones.
Swarovski Apple logo from iPhone CAZE
For the side, you can buy those tattoo swarvoski stones to stick on the side of your phone.

I can get mines done as pretty as the one on the picture for less than 30 bucks. Haha.

      Diamonds are very conductive...lol

Also I am glad this creator of this phone is from the UK and not the US. The last thing we need is another person here in the US promoting another obnoxious product.

Diamonds are probably worse but if you have 20 grand, reception problems are probably not that big of a problem.

Tell you one thing. If I were rich and just spent $20k on a cell phone with reception problems and the AT&T store claimed that it was fine and refused to exchange it, I would personally hand every potential customer in that store a thousand bucks just to walk out and go to another AT&T store to buy their phone.

Just for sheer enjoyment of payback.

That would teach the store sales reps a thing or two about real customer service as they watch their paycheck disappear out the door.

Finally: something that won't blend. Diamonds don't blend, no matter how powerful your blendtec magical margarita machine may be.

I concur with the appreciation aspect. However diamonds are diamonds. Dress up a piece of poop with a diamond and someone with $$ will buy it. Add diamonds to an iPhone and some rich person will buy it even if it is to show off at a dinner. Regardless the person that does should also donate 10k to the dev's so we can all have our diamonds. (so to speak). LOL

every year the same guy does the same thing to the idevices and yet people post it as its real news. if you read the article about the 2g 3g 3gs or ipt with diamonds well youve been here before. oh wait how could i forget about the awesome and completely different job he did on the ipad. its different because its bigger. now you want to post something creative and different how about the ipads back cover that is made out of some rare endangered wood from africa, at least you know not many people or one guy over and over can do that every year.
