The Wall Street Journal recently reported that sellers are already taking pre-orders of Apple’s next-generation iPhone, dubbed the ‘iPhone 6.’ Even though we’re still a few months away from the rumored iPhone 6 announcement and launch date, with no price still, sellers are already asking people to do pre-sales.
More than thirty sellers on Alibaba’s Taobao marketplace said they can help purchase the upcoming new iPhone 6s from the U.S. and Hong Kong. But there’s one catch: consumers have to pay a deposit ranging from 500 yuan ($80) to 7,999 yuan ($1288).
In actuality, it has only been rumored that approximately 70-80 million iPhone 6 devices will be produced by the end of the year. Mass production is supposed to start as early as next month. How much of this is true, we will just have to wait until Apple makes their official announcement.
