iOS 7 ships with a feature called Control Center, which allows you to swipe up from the bottom of your display and have several things readily available to you, such as toggle switches, music controls, application shortcuts, a flashlight shortcut, a display brightness slider, AirDrop management, and more. Luckily, if you have a jailbroken device, you can not only customize Control Center, but you can also make it do even more. In this post, we will show you five great jailbreak tweaks that you can use to supercharge your iOS 7 Control Center experience.
Just a quick note before we get started; these tweaks are all compatible with the Pangu version 1.1.0 jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x, and will work with earlier iOS 7 jailbreaks, such as evasi0n7, as well.
1. Polus – 99¢
The first tweak we'll be recommending to you is Polus. This tweak allows you to configure your application shortcuts at the bottom of Control Center. You will be able to set any Activator action that you want to any of your shortcut buttons, such as opening other applications instead, and you can even change the icon of the button. You can create as many shortcuts as you want, and you can page through them, instead of only being limited to four. You'll also find a number of display and behavior options for making your shortcuts respond to your touch just how you want them to. This tweak is definitely one of our must-haves for Control Center in iOS 7.
2. FlipControlCenter – FREE
Next up is another jailbreak tweak that lets you modify the buttons in Control Center called FlipControlCenter. Unlike Polus, FlipControlCenter lets you customize the toggle buttons instead of the shortcut buttons. You'll be able to use multiple different toggles that aren't normally made available to you, such as LTE, cellular data, respring, location services, Do Not Disturb, and many more. Best of all, you can also scroll through all of them if you have more than can fit on your display's width. It's a great addition to any device with Control Center and makes access to your most-needed toggles just a swipe away.
3. CCHide – FREE
Another tweak that's easy to recommend to any Control Center user is CCHide. If you don't use specific sections of Control Center, this tweak will allow you to easily hide those sections and get them out of the way. For example, if you never use AirDrop, or the music controls, you can simply make them disappear and give yourself a cleaner-looking Control Center interface. It's really easy to configure, and it's a great way to simplify and usually-cluttered interface.
4. Addial for iOS 7 – 99¢
Addial for iOS 7 is an add-on for Control Center that could come in handy for anyone that uses call-based functions on their iPhone a lot. With it, you can do such things as add new contacts, perform dialer-based phone calls, and even perform contact-based phone calls. The three new buttons are added to the bottom of your Control Center interface by default, but you can change the positioning of it in Control Center to be wherever you want it to be. It's a great way to quickly get ahold of someone you need to get ahold of, and adds some useful functionality to Control Center.
5. Share Widget for Control Center – FREE
Last but not least, this one goes out to those social networking geeks out there. Share Widget for Control Center lets you easily Tweet to Twitter or Post to Facebook right from the comfort of your Control Center interface. You can control where it appears in Control Center too. It will add two new buttons, and tapping on them brings up a compose sheet for the correct social network. It uses iOS' built-in social network support, so you won't need to worry about signing into either of the social networks as long as you've already signed in with iOS. If you like to stay connected to social networks, this is a great add-on for Control Center!
All of these tweaks have been tested to make sure that they're compatible with the latest Pangu 1.1.0 jailbreak; they may not all be compatible with one another.
