  • Froyo Unlocked on the iPhone 3G via ultrasn0w

Sergio McFly, the developer of Android installer iPhodroid, an appication that assists in installing the iDroid port that planetbeing had developed which allowed Android on the 2G and 3G, has recently announced that Froyo can now be unlocked by using the recent ultrasn0w unlock tool. BlueRise's new OpeniBoot is to credit for this as he managed to port ultrasn0w compatiblity into it.

"Wohooooo!! For the first time I've got my 3G ultrasn0w running Android Froyo UNLOCKED!. Many thanks to bluerise to make this possible. He just ported the ultasn0w into the new OpeniBoot. It took a long time to me to figure out and embed into the IPHODROID. Now, its time to make labs with 2G phone but Im in a rush to put this new release in the air and feel the people so happy to making calls everywhere"
There is no official release for this, but you can bet that we'll see something shortly. In the meantime check out the developers blogs:

Its called progression, calm down. This project was originally just 2G iPhones to begin with anyway.

Yeah. Google names Android versions as desserts. Hence donut, eclair, froyo, gingerbread, etc.

Really hoping for a 3GS version soon. This is the first time I bought the new iPhone without selling my old one, so I have a 3GS that I can just play with now.

First off, I appreciate the creativity, hardwork, and artistic merits that have been put into the iphonedroid OS. However, this is not important. iPhone 4 needs to be more than a high priced ipod for many people on tmobile.

And FYI none of the jailbreak teams are included on this.
Well hell maybe if they DID actually sell the thing then it would be motivated by profit and we would have a Jailbreak with every firmware/hardware release...
instead we rely on some geeks, a few children and like two adults in 'hope' that they can Jailbreak..

I would gladly fund a DEV team and pay for every Firmware/Hardware Jailbreak if the damn thing was released in a timely manor.

Which is something any person associated with creating a JB has yet to do.
either due to lack of funds, time or motivation.

this is why the whole Jailbreak scene is *** <-word is Ghay -(apparently homosexuals are censored at mmi) along with all you fanboys praising them for their work.

      Screw their work,
no one is doing anything special.
Its just the fact that no one else is attempting it cause No one of importance cares about a jailbreak or unlock.

not to mention you gotta go thru ten different screens to get to a setting you need to change. google stores your contacts and notes.. but not your pics and media. for that you gotta use vcast media manager, wtf?

Stick to the subject and quit criticizing others for what they do or how they comment. The title says nothing about " how do you feel about the Jailbreakers/ devteams". Show respect to others or leave the forum please. Thank you
