iOS 8 Beta 4 Reportedly Ready to Be Seeded to Developers By Monday
Apple unveiled iOS 8
and all of its awesome new features at the WWDC 2014 Keynote last month. Since then, the Cupertino-based company has been seeding pre-release versions of the software called betas to developers for testing. Each beta comes with either new features or several different bug fixes to make the software more reliable and/or usable.
We are currently at beta number three for Apple's upcoming iOS 8 software, and a new report from BGR
notes that Apple is ready to seed iOS 8 beta 4 to developers as early as this Monday, July 21st. Since iOS 8 beta 3 was seeded to developers on July 7th
, the estimated Monday seed date isn't out of line, as it keeps with Apple's usual schedule of seeding a new beta version almost every two weeks or so.
The beta firmware seeds allow developers to test their applications on Apple's new software ahead of its official release so that these applications can be ready to be updated via the App Store with official support for the new software as soon as, or as close as possible to, the public release of the new software to make transitioning as smooth as possible for regular iOS users. iOS 8 is pegged to be released to the public this Fall.
We will continue to keep you updated when iOS 8 beta 4 is seeded to developers and will let you know everything that we find that is new in the release, so stay tuned!
