Rovio's Angry Birds Rio Game for iOS Updated With 20 New Timber Tumble Levels
On Tuesday, Rovio issued an update for its popular Angry Birds Rio game for the iOS platform. The update brings the game up to version 2.2.0 in the App Store.
The update gives the game 20 all-new levels based in a new Timber Tumble episode. In this episode, you'll be using your Angry Birds' special abilities to best some monkeys that have been building up their devices with logging equipment. You'll be blasting away their defenses and trying to obtain 3 stars in each level as you take out each of the monkeys while trying to use as little birds as you can.
A new feature called "Call the Flock" has also been introduced, which allows players that are stuck on a level to call up some help from the birds' Macaw buddies. The Macaw buddies will offer some additional damage to the level to help give you the boost you need to beat a level. Players can also take advantage of a new "Power Potion," which will give their bird even more destructive power for taking out the enemy's defenses.
Players can also now use tips as a way to get through a level that they're unsure how to beat. The tips are optional, and players can continue playing through the level as they normally would if they prefer to be challenged instead of given tips.
Existing players of Angry Birds Rio can download this update from the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Angry Birds Rio for free from this App Store link
