'HUDSpeed' Lets You Control How Long the Volume HUD Stays On the Screen
One of the annoying things about when we have to change our volume is that the volume HUD always stays on the display for a long period of time and it just feels like it gets in the way when we're trying to do something, such as watch a video.
A new free jailbreak tweak called HUDSpeed
by iOS developer Samball will fix this problem by allowing you to configure the duration of time that the volume HUD and ringer HUD are allowed to stay on the screen before it fades away.
As shown above, you can see that the tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure via a slider how many second the volume HUD and ringer HUD will appear on the screen before they will disappear – you can choose anywhere from 0 seconds to 3 seconds in 0.1 second intervals. You can also enable or disable the tweak on demand here.
No resprings are necessary to save your changes, so as soon as you put the slider where you think you'll like it, you can press on your volume buttons and see if the volume HUD or ringer HUD disappears after your preferred amount of time and adjust the settings from there.
It's a nice tweak to add to your device if you're looking for additional control over something that Apple hardly put any though into themselves, so if you're interested in giving HUDSpeed a try, you can head over to Cydia's BigBoss repository right now and download it for free today!
