How is the Pangu iOS 7.1/iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak Working for You?
Yesterday, a mysterious untethered iOS 7.1-7.1.x jailbreak called Pangu
by a team of China-based hackers was unleashed on the Interwebz.
Admittedly, I was skeptical to try the jailbreak at first. I didn't know anything about the people that released the jailbreak, and I was worried that by updating and trying a tool that might not work, I would lose my existing iOS 7.0.6 jailbreak.
Luckily, I have found that the jailbreak works great on iOS 7.1.1 on all of my devices. Thus far, I've updated two iPhone 4 units running iOS 7.1.1 and jailbroken them with Pangu, as well as a 64-bit iPad Mini with retina display running iOS 7.1.1, and I plan to try my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.1 later on once I get the chance.
So far, on every device that I've jailbroken with Pangu, everything appears to be running quite smoothly. I have also noticed big performance and speed improvements in iOS 7.1.1 over the dated iOS 7.0.6. iOS 7.1.1 has also been proven to increase battery performance
, so that's another thing I'm looking forward to.
