A new video was updated to YouTube recently by Apple, highlighting its latest Apple Store in Omotesando, Tokyo as final touch ups are made for the Friday grand opening. Just two days after pictures of the new Japanese retail store hit the web, Apple released an in-house video of the store. It includes behind-the-scene footage of floor display preparations and back room stocking.
The underground level’s layout was a mystery to everyone before the video release. However, it has been shown that the central spiral staircase leads to additional display space, accessories racks, and a Genius Bar. The new store has similar architectural designs as California’s “Stanford 2” Apple store and it also has three glass walls holding up an aluminum roof. But the Omotesando store is two times taller than the “Stanford 2” store.
The grand opening is set to take place at 10am on Friday, June 13th and the video came out a day before the opening.
