  • iPhone 5s Featured in New Beats by Dre Promo Ad

Music company’s Beats by Dr. Dre headphones has released a World Cup promo starring the iPhone 5s, after Apple’s announcement on the $3 billion acquisition of Beats Electronics and Beats Music. The deal is expected to be finalized later this year. The most recent ad features a five-minute film for the new Solo2 and packs in big-name athletes wearing the headsets in the time leading up to a game. The reason this ad is different from previous ones is because it not only features the new headphones but it is being powered by the Apple iPhone 5s.

The new video is titled “The Game Before the Game” and is a 5-minute olde to the World Cup. According to AdAge, due to Beats not being an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, they are not allowed to mention the event by name. Big name Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr. stars in the ad. Beats chief marketing officer, Omar Johnson, states:

We decided to do something that only Beats could do. he pre-game rituals on display are authentic. It's all real. Nothing is make-believe.
Other big soccer stars are also seen in the ad prepping for the big game, but Samsung spokesperson, Lebon James, also makes an appearance. The company has already said that they plan on using James in future ads, but no one knows if this is still the case after Apple has bought out Beats.

Johnson has stated, "he's going to be all over the place.” Meanwhile a Beats spokeswoman added, "he's part of the Beats family."

Beats don't even look good and I hear they don't sound good either. Why did Apple buy this company again? It seems like they could have just payed Dre some G's instead of billions to get him to promote their products. The most expensive part of this deal was the headphones department, right?

I think it was more for the Beats Music streaming service than for the headphones...

I sure hope that all new I phones do not come with Beats they are cheap junk and unreliable I think the best thing they could do is drop the Beats headphones I think it will come back to bite them in the end

Beats acquired most likely for streaming service and for Dr. Dre and Iovine's connects in the music industry.

Just like apple said, they just want the "brand" who cares if they sound like ****! Which they do.
