Angry Birds Space Updated With Biggest Update Ever, Dubbed "Beak Impact" Update
On Thursday, Rovio gave their popular hit game Angry Birds Space the biggest update it has ever received since its launch in March of 2012
. Rovio calls this update "Beak Impact," and it brings the game up to version 2.0.0.
With the Beak Impact update, Angry Birds Space now has a total of 50 brand new levels. 40 of these levels are regular levels that you will play through like any of the others, while 10 of them are bonus levels that you will have to unlock by yourself.
The 40 regular levels are split into part 1 and part 2, and the only way to unlock part 2 is to complete part 1. The ten bonus levels are split into a group of 4 and a group of 6 – to unlock the group of 4 bonus levels, you will need to find all of the NASA space craft: the Orion Crew Vehicle, OSIRIS-REx, Deep Impact, and Dawn in the game. Unlocking the group of 6 bonus levels is done by collecting three stars and a feather in all of the regular levels.
Rovio has also packed in some fun cheats and power-ups that you can use in tougher levels that you need help in. For example, the Mighty Buzzard (conveniently named Buzz Aldrin) can be used to get past a level when it's too hard for you. Asteroid showers are also going to make things interesting by creating radioactive side effects for the pigs. And lastly, the pigs are now harnessing batteries and gas tanks, which you can hit with birds to cause some extra damage.
